Food was so good here…we came twice on our trip to Maine! The crispy chicken is their specialty which is really good but I loved the fish sandwich!!! Yes, it is huge and the fish and batter is amazing. Lite crispy batter and then the fish of the day was the haddock…so good! I also really enjoyed the crab cake special. Nice wine and local beer selection.

1st time visitor – Let’s start by saying I love fried chicken. I was looking for a good go-to chicken place ( Not Chester’s!!!) that also had a bar and other food choices. I saw Peter’s mentioned in DownEast magazine as being one of the 101 Things to Do in Maine in the Summer and they specifically mentioned the fried chicken so on the bucket list it went.

It wasn’t crowded and they don’t take reservations. No dessert available either. Food was great, the fried chicken was super juicy and tasty, although side dishes is bit small. There’s a free parking lot across the street. Love the view of the lake too.

Hey…find this place and go! We had an amazing eating experience here..the view is awesome..the people are even more awesome and the food was outstanding. The burgers are huge and mouthwatering! The haddock fish filet sandwich is not to be reckoned with…it was humongous..lol..seriously. go you won’t be sorry. We rode our motorcycles in and it only added to the ride!

Market Price for fish sandwich was $30! We decided to share a sandwich between two. Server brought a smaller sandwich compared to the tables around us knowing we were sharing and one small fried potato. He did go and get three more small potato’s as he realized this was not really a $30 meal! Our water cups (plastic) were never refilled. Felt like because we were not drinking alcohol we got ignored….I was so sad as I though we would spend about $17 per person and get a nice sandwich. View is awesome. Place is simple but pub-like. Just felt like I got the tourist treatment….really sad.

The fried chicken really is that good. We were there for brunch, and everything we ordered (fried chicken Benedict, chicken waffles and biscuits and gravy) was fantastic. Good coffee, too. Very friendly and competent service and charming dining room.

Quirky Tavern/Restaurant off the beaten path in Southwest Harbor, I enjoyed a delicious meal with friends, we had crabcakes, haddock chowder and Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Everything made from scratch, tasty, well-prepared my compliments to the chef!

GET THE CHICKEN! It’s the best alternative to seafood in the whole island! I had the Spicy Chicken Sammy and my lady had the regular Chicken Sammy…both absolutely incredible! Top five fried chicken of all time in my life and travels! Also don’t forget to try the biscuits with honey-infused butter; they are to die for! This is last-meal-worthy food!

This place is a must stop!!! I’ve seen a ton, of reviews, about rude service. Our experience was great!! Our server and everyone else was very friendly!! The Chicken sandwich is not your everyday sandwich!!! Its the best!! The fish sandwich, my husband had, was amazing!!! We have ate at some high end restaurants and this one , hands down, was the best!!!!

We stayed here and tried to eat here. Restaurant: Walked in, multiple servers walked right up within a few feet, made eye contact and then ignored us.Finally one server said we need you to sign in (put your name and phone number where anyone can see it) even though the list was all checked off and we were the only people waiting for a table. We signed in, waited a few more minutes and we’re still ignored. Not a grading or positive engagement at all.We ended up finding another place to go.
