It’s easy to miss. You could drive right by and not even realize there’s an AMAZING experience waiting inside. It’s just a little spot next to a gas station, but every time I eat here, and that’s A LOT, I feel like I’m in heaven. I’ve NEVER been disappointed. Music is always playing, the wait staff is always smiling, and the kitchen is alive with singing and laughing and most importantly, creating delicious and authentic Mexican food. A must try!

For a small location in a little town I am pleasantly surprised by this place. The food is cooked to order so your going to have a little bit of a wait but it is well worth it. The beef always has a excellent flavor, the sauce and cheese is perfect and the cost is very reasonable. There isn’t much room to dine in but they do have a couple tables and outside seating if the weather is nice. The area is a little less desirable, they are located next to a convenience store that gets some sketchy characters and across the street is a run down shady looking motel. I’ve never noticed to many undesirables in the restaurant but beware what you may encounter. Overall is it all worth it? I would have to say yes, while it isn’t going to be the best Mexican food you have ever tasted it is very good for being a small local shop.

Today we finally tried this place for the first time, as take-out. We had 2 adults and 3 kids to feed tonight and we all loved it. Hubby thought it was a cute clean place, with friendly service happy to explain everything to him and even let him try different drinks. We never had Orchata and man is it a delicious drink! Food was very delicious too and we got good size portions. We are happy to have such a good Mexican place finally closer to home. We will be back for sure…

Don’t let the small storefront deter you. On a long road trip north on 301, we found El Toro and we’re so happy we stopped. Delicious food, friendly and prompt service. I had a dietary request (for my celiac disease) and they easily accommodated my need. Highly recommend!

Had I reviewed this place the first time I went, in 2022, I would’ve given them 5 stars based on how good the food was. Unfortunately, when I visited about 2 weeks ago the food was pretty bad, worth only 2 or 3 stars. There was a huge decrease in the quality of the food. I’ll give them 4 stars as an average rating of my 2 visits. I hope they get their act together.

We did a google search to find a good place to eat lunch on our way home from traveling, El Toro was one of the choices and we decided to give it a try. I’m so glad that we did!! It’s located right next to a gas station, so it’s easy to overlook. The food was fresh and tasty. Soft drinks served in a large decorative cup. Highly recommend the carne asada tacos and burrito loco. Great food, great flavor, great service. They have limited inside seating, but it would be worth your wait if necessary. I urge you to give this place a try. We will definitely return!
