Did not enjoy the food overall. The French fries were good and the haddock was ok.

Don’t let this place fool you! We drove by it several times during the day and it almost looked abandoned. But it is sure is happen at night and rightfully so! The food was amazing. The atmosphere was also fantastic. They even had a little two person band playing on Friday night. We didn’t go into the bar but it looked like they had some decent seating there too. Highly recommend making a reservation, however if baby do it’s a Friday or Saturday night.

We were driving from Bar Harbor to Canada and saw good reviews here. To our good fortune, this little Gem of a Restaurant was on our way. From the entry and genuine greeting from Steve the owner and the excitement of the other customers, we knew we were in for a treat. We ordered a full rib dinner and Chicken Fettuccine to share. It was delicious and fresh. We had a piece of Pecan Pie for dessert. Even though we were travelling, we stayed for a couple of hours to thoroughly enjoy our experience. So glad we stopped in, it was a pleasant surprise.

I may need to come back to Maine just for this restaurant. The food is amazing and the owner is charming. We had the stuffed haddock with lobster and scallops. It was one of the most delicious seafood dishes I’ve ever had.

After getting seated, it took us 45 minutes to get our drinks while we waited for our party to arrive. No bread was given and the service was extremely slow…. Ordered clam chowder but got seafood chowder that tasted awful. Our waitress was called over multiple times, yet never came over. When she did, it was because she forgot what we ordered or forgot to put in one of our guests food AFTER everyone else got their meal. When we finally got our drinks, my significant other found a fly in his drink and the rim of the tables water glass was dirty… gross! Once our food arrived, one dish was extremely over cooked and one had way too much lemon on it. Overall, this wasn’t the best experience and don’t know if I will be back….

This place has the worst service ever!!! I have gone here many times, but I’m done. Several times they forgot to put the order in! The wait is always ridiculously long. I have walked out after waiting 30 mins without being waited on. They have given my food to other tables. Drinks just sit at the bar with ice melting in them for 15 minutes before it’s brought over. The food can be hit or miss. Don’t waste your time coming here to wait 45 minutes before getting a drink to then have your order not be given to the kitchen. I have also gone here and had the owner shake hands with the men in my party and say hello to them, and then he completely ignored me. Completely disrespectful.

This place is 1000% worth the stop! We arrived late after the chef had closed the kitchen but he was nice enough to still whip up some delicious dinner items for us. I had fish tacos and a cup of the seasonal fiddlehead bisque (made from local fern sprouts), my boyfriend had a burger, and everything was hot and worth every penny. I’ll be dreaming of that bisque until I can make my way back to Maine!! Thanks, Chef!
