The homemade street tacos and tamales are some of the best. The meals are prepared fresh so don’t expect fast food speed. The homemade green and red salsa is SO good! Fresh limes and radishes too! I’ve added a picture of the Dorado plate. Also the crispy pancake shaped snack available at the counter. Honey lovers, the LARGE container of Mexican Honey is only $15. I bought one!

Tried this place on a whim and was glad to try it out. The flauta were my favorite thing of the night. Crispy flat and taco shaped, I wish I bought two orders. Tamales were good, tacos good. Next time torta.

Fantastic little restaurant off the beaten path. Their menu is small and concise but everything I tried was fantastic. Standouts were the chicken and Al Pastor tacos. All dishes are served with house salsas, and Serrano peppers are available upon request. The only reason I found myself here, is the lack of options on the fourth of July. Highly recommended, will def be back.

I have been to MANY Mexican restaurants in the metro and none of them touch Chalo’s. It was THE BEST and we won’t be going anywhere else. Other than the wait. Or perhaps I should say even with the 20 min wait the tacos did come through. Man it was pretty darn good. I thought this was going to be another over rated taco shop. Happily surprised. Will definitely recommend to some buddies and will also return. Oddly placed in the north side of town! Happy find!
