Placed a pick up order tonight for our first time trying J’s. It was so good! Love that the brisket wasn’t mostly fat. The bbq sauce was so good. Enjoyed all the sides we got with our meals. The dressing was probably my favorite, I love dressing. It was very flavorful and moist. Husband loved the baked beans, very very flavorful. Red velvet cake was good, not dry at all. We will for sure be back! Glad to have found a good place to eat down the road from us.

There’s not enough nice things you could say not only about the food which is magnificent and always fresh, the goliath baked potatoes with brisket or chicken OMG! the mac & cheese, the cornbread the cakes, best in the business, but the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Warren are the kindest most down to earth people you’ll ever meet. If you’re ever passing through White or just curious and looking for some really good food whose main ingredient is definitely love. This place is a must.!! I’m actually heading there now

Amazing food. Our family was heading back from white water rafting on the Ocoee river, from being on the water for 4 hours we were starving but didn’t want to waste money on fast food so we decided to stop at the next restaurant place along our path that looked decent. So we spotted J’s soul food and pulled in to give it a try. At the time there credit card machine was done so they excepted cash only. Which put a small snag in our plan as we carry no cash, after asking a customer eating on the patio , and the customer even sharing his rib piece we were convinced we needed to run to dollar general for cash back . They closed within the hour so my expectations were low, however the quality of the food was amazing, absolutely delicious. We order the rib plate and 2 sides, I had ribs Mac and cheese , and greens, my boyfriend had ribs, dressing and the sauce was the best I’ve ever tasted . Everything was my favorite, especially the Texas bread. After smashing our food we were definitely convinced this place has some of the best bbq around. Never knew of the place before our run in but so happy we stopped. And realize it’s only 25 minutes from our house, I’m already planning to go back to try the fried chicken and cake it’s black owned, and operated and comes with a A rating score . You can taste the love, poured into the food , you can’t get eating at Applebees but only at family business because they truly love what they do.. Next best thing to big mama’s cooking. Can we say , oh yeah!!!

Neat little BBQ joint. I had the grilled cheese brisket sandwich and it was pretty yummy. Very limited seating outside. The inside is closed to dine in. No Fountain drinks unfortunately. Definitely coming back to try some of their other menu items!

Best soul food I’ve had in a long time!! My boyfriend and I are road tripping and we found this spot on the map. Only a few minutes off I-75 and well worth the stop! Michelle was lovely and the food was SO GOOD. The brisket melts in your mouth, the Mac & cheese was to die for, and the collard greens were the best we’ve ever had. This place has true character. Will definitely look to come here again if I’m ever in the area!

I have driven by several times but didn’t stop. This time my daughter and I decided that we would. You have to order online or phone in. We were so glad that we did, the food was amazing!! We had pulled pork sandwiches. The pork had a wonderful smoked flavor paired with great sauce. I also got onion rings. Even though they are fried they were very light. The cole slaw was also very good. My son-in-law had the Goliath baked potato with all the fixings and pulled pork in it. He said it was the best thing he ever ate. This is a great find!!!

I wanted some brisket but unfortunately they had sold out so I got the rib dinner and a chicken loaded potato. Ribs were outstanding and the sides were very delicious. The potato was very good as well. Had a slice of caramel cake that made my mouth melt! If I’m ever around here again I know where to get some good food

Ordered the pulled chicken sandwich, bbq sauce provided on the side, and some fries. My fries were made fresh. Bottled ice tea was available in a cooler near the counter. My food was prepared quickly and was a good temperature. The young man taking my order was friendly and quick to place my order. There is some nice shaded tables on their front porch. Clean and well maintained indoors and outdoors. Parking is available but it does have a drive up window.
