The atmosphere is beautiful from the outside & especially once you walk in. Very soft yet modern, welcoming decor. Our server was sweet & attentive, we never needed to wait long for anything at all. Our food was plentiful! The servings are so great for the price. My husband ordered the fried fish & it was fried to perfection! My salad was full & not skimpy on toppings at all, I had a ton to take for leftovers. We had a few appetizers to try (special thanks to Chef Mario!), my favorite being the fried okra. One can never go wrong with having those on a true Southern menu! We were so full & had plenty of food to take with us. The live entertainment was a nice touch too, and the hostess made sure we got a great table to be able to see & hear the performer well. All the staff we encountered were just so great, we never saw anything that made us think they didn’t want to be at work. I’m so glad we got to try this restuarant in Vegas. Living in NC, next we’ll go to the Belmont location as well.

I had really high hopes for this place. . The restaurant looks nice. It’s decorated cute and they play great music. But I was very disappointed with the food and service. We had ordered rolls for our table but never got them. And service was very slow even though there weren’t many people. Which is fine but our food came cold and not fresh. So sad because it looked delicious. The bun to my burger was stale, and the chicken dry. The only decent part of the meal was my fried okra. So disappointed and no worth the money.

I am so glad to have been passing by when my curiosity was tickled by the interior design drawing me inward. I was also very confused at first why a family wanted to make a reservation for the evening, since place didnt look particularly busy with plenty of seating at early afternoon. Turns out there is live music, to which I cannot comment. Happy to tell you, the food was amazing just as the atmosphere and the staff. Great job. cocktails are very tasty. Must try their fried green tomatoes and okra. I also wish you could just order their collard greens as a separate menu item, as I never had one as yummy as theirs. Definitely coming back for this next time.

I was looking for something outside of the “steakhouse” box. I feel like a lot of the restaurants in Vegas are kind of the same. Nellies gave me a different set of choices. I ordered the fried green tomatoes and the southern rolls, which were both delicious. The music and ambience were inviting. My server at the bar was friendly and gave nice recommendations for food. Next time I am in Vegas, I will likely eat here again!

As far as the food. I can’t give it more than 2 Stars. I had the catfish platter. Very disappointed because the fish was over cooked and hard. Others in my party had a better experience with the food. The collard greens & artichoke dip was definitely good. I can’t say that when I come back to Vegas if I’ll come back here. Just depends……..

The restaurant is located inside MGM Grand where we stayed for the weekend – a group of friends and I discovered the new restaurant and decided to give it a try as we were looking for soul food and we didn’t have to leave the hotel nor the strip! Overall, the food do not have any seasoning, we ordered several dishes – fried okra, fried green tomatoes, southern egg tiles and four cheese Mac and cheese! All the dishes missed having any type of seasoning – can’t have soul food without some seasoning! The menu was extensive and the cocktails were delicious..great ambiance, beautiful esthetics but the food was a miss!

It’s a fairly new place and one of the few in town to offer the great southern kitchen classics. Chicken and waffles was very tasty and well seasoned, biscuits even though it’s a unnecessary large portion had that tasteful home-made style vibe. Live music adds a nice relaxing style to your meals.

I was looking for peace inside the MGM because it was so chaotic. It’s beautiful inside, actually peaceful, great southern option, I had tenders and catfish. Delicious! The whoa Nellie cocktail is sooooooo good! I sat at the bar to avoid the line.
