Very good spicy street tacos. The location is not big, only seating for about 20 people, max. We didn’t have any tables to sit at – just booths facing the windows – so it’s hard to get a group together for a meal.

The tacos were delicious, I visited on taco Tuesday and it was the special. Great prices and super friendly service. My only complaint was the beverage situation….fountain drink dispenser not working so can soda was the option, unfortunately my diet coke was expired and it certainly tasted like it.

This is not Rock City Tacos, they don’t sell tacos at all. This place is called Rock City Kitchen and their service and food was not good. Just go spend your money somewhere else.

I hate to see such negative reviews. I went last weekend and the service was great! The food was not the best I’ve had but I am excited for their upcoming menu items and think if they add a little more “flavor” to the current cuisine it will be amazing. It’s not fair to judge a new business off of its first week. Employees need to be trained, a rhythm has to be developed. Go downtown and support this unique, black-owned business. And instead of sounding off on Google, pull the chef or owner aside and let them know your opinions.

I give the extra star specifically for the service. The person that took our order was wonderful throughout our visit. Now as for the food, I ordered the Pork Taco bowl, my husband ordered the Chicken burrito, and we both had Mexican cornbread plus some Mexican Corn. My pork had no seasoning, my bowl of other items were barely lukewarm as was my husband’s burrito. The cornbread tasted as though it had be frozen for 2 months and then put in the microwave. We came in an hour and a half before closing so that could play a part into “not fresh” food. However, it was extremely disappointing. Try again during lunchtime? Maybe. Maybe not.

I like the location, the bar sitting area, and you can tailor your toppings. The food is bland, no black olives, no pico, and my order took about 15 minutes for only cheese on my chips. Please clean the topping bar possibly and light to enhance the visual. Marinate the meat to give flavor.
