At our Hermitage, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I’m very disappointed. The fish was undercooked and breading was mushy. We couldn’t eat any of it. After tasting a bite I got sick. I basically gave away money. I will not be back. I called the manager and they said it would be refunded but haven’t seen that yet. She said she had a feeling that the fish wasn’t done right because they had someone new there. She wasn’t surprised when I complained. Hope they do better for others because I’m done with Captain Ds.

I have nothing but good comments about my recent visit to Captain D’s, Hermitage. Pamela was working at the counter taking orders and she had such a sweet smile and a gentle voice. So many times, I’ve felt rushed and like I was an inconvenience to the person behind the counter. But not this time, for Pamela is the kind of employee every place needs. Next, I met Jacobi, who brought my order to the table. He also had the kind of honest smile and attitude that makes you just smile back! The fish sandwich and fries tasted great and the dining area was clean and comfortable. Thanks for such a nice experience, Captain D’s! I’ll be back for sure.

I pulled up at the drive thru and the car next me and I both waited for more than 20 minutes without a word from the speaker. Finally, the car next to me had their order taken, then the car behind them. After 30 minutes without so much as a single word from anyone I left for a different restaurant that would actually take my order. I can excuse a new location being slower than normal but a complete lack of any communication is ridiculous.
