My carryout wasn’t even ready, even though they told me it would take 10 minutes and I arrived in 20. While I was there, they got another customer’s order wrong. If they weren’t so busy on their phones and goifing off, they would have gotten the order right abd mine done on time. And the food itself wasn’t even good (too salty abd the fish was hard).

First time going to Captain Jay’s they give you some weird lemon pepper to place on your chicken, it’s so salty you would go into cardiac arrest just Lena dab on your finger and tasting it and I have gotten better fried Chicken from a gas station or 7-Eleven. I can’t understand why they have so many chains opening up when their food is so bad.

I genuinely feel for whoever owns this particular Captain Jay’s…. The current employees are going to put you out of business.The service was absolutely horrible. I waited for 35min while the employee scrolled through her social media. When my order did come up the wing dings were cold. Sigh…..

This location deserves nothing less than 5 stars. There were only two ladies working the day I went . They were not extremely busy but they received consistent calls and orders which they handled quite well. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the jumbo shrimp was cooked to perfection. What I mostly appreciated was the fact that the lady cooking was more concerned with providing food cooked to perfection instead of just fulfilling the order. The shrimp was not cooked until after the chicken was fully cooked because as everyone knows chicken takes a lot longer than shrimp. The two ladies deserve a huge raise because they delivered the best food out of all the Captain Jay’s locations in or near Metropolitan Detroit. Great Job Ladies!
