Stopped here on a whim because we were craving tacos and tequilas. Saw the guacamole casera and had to have it. BEST DECISION. Texas margaritas were awesome. The margarona too. Cheese dip with ground beef. Chicken fajitas also good. Everything was fresh. Definitely recommend.

Great local choice. El Sombrero is the second Mexican restaurant in this location. Can’t remember the name of the first one but it was family owned, very nice people. They offered the only Mexican food buffet I have ever seen. I think they were open less than a year. Not long after Walgreens left. To be a neighborhood offering El Sombrero is always well staffed and makes an excellent meal. Clean facility and a friendly staff.

El Sombrero was delicious! It’s your typical Mexican place, which means it’s fantastic in my book! I got the mole enchiladas and they were super good. The chips and salsa are fresh and tasty. They have a great kids menu and lots of unique cocktails. We’ll be back!

We go to “The Hat” weekly and enjoy the food as well as convenient location. As with most restaurants, there is some turnover with wait staff. They need training on attentiveness and the difference in the dining experience between being in Mexico & the States. They should check-in more frequently as service is more than just taking an order and delivering the food. By the time I finally have to wave them down, my view of the dining experience has diminished.
