My boyfriend and I went here for his birthday and loved our experience. The staff was welcoming and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our server was so nice and personable. We got the tuna dish and fried okra/egg plant for an appetizer. We got the steak for dinner and it was truly incredible. All the food was outstanding. We loved the atmosphere. It was in a historic home in Downtown Savannah. Highly recommend! Sadly, we did not get a picture of the steak because we ate it so fast.

Excellent dining experience with our family during our visit to Savannah, GA. Our cousin recommended and made reservations for this place weeks ahead, and this restaurant’s food and service did not disappoint! Reservations book up fast. We got the private room area on the 2nd floor.

We had a wonderful experience here! Had high expectation and were not disappointed. The interior design, the food and the service were all amazing. The raw oysters are sourced locally and super flavorful and fresh while smaller in size! Highly recommend. The whole restaurant occupies a house and dining here makes you feel homey. You can see the chef cooking in the kitchen in some of the seats as a bonus point.

We can’t complain, for us is our favorite restaurant top #1 in Savannah! It is like our 8th time and the menu idea is like courses from raw to salad to protein. They always have different menu food options that change, I think every month. It is perfect for the family, anniversary, birthday, even for trying something new and you’re not going to regret it. We love the service and ambience!

Chose to do the Chef’s counter, and what a great experience! The chef was very welcoming, and the staff was very hospitable. The wine and food pairings were right on point!!! You will not leave hungry, and you will definitely not be disappointed! Food is magnificent. The love and art executed in both taste and presentation made for such an excellent experience. Look forward to coming back!

So good every time! Really small dishes but each one is a tastebud explosion. Every dish is honestly like a work of art. The restaurant itself is an old house, so you’ll be seated in one of the many “rooms.” It’s warm, cozy, intimate, and fun all at the same time. Service is on point and the servers are really helpful in explaining your way through the menu. Also, as a side note, one of the nicest restaurant bathrooms – they don’t miss a beat here. Highly highly recommend if you’re in Savannah!!

We had a wonderful experience at the Common Thread. We had reservations, which I suggest you get to be sure of a seat. Once there, they let us choose our seat, which was awesome (maybe cause we were early in the evening). We sat in the middle of the staircase in front of the big windows. The food was very unique and full of colors, flavors, and spices. I enjoyed the fish collar, and my girlfriend enjoyed the rice porridge. Both were delicious, and the porridge had a little heat to it. We also enjoyed the green bran appetizer. The service was friendly and attentive and very professional.

First, this place is a 5 in many ways. Great wine list of many unique and creative selections, wonderfully genteel setting, great staff. The food was just barely a notch below tho. Flounder crudo very good. Mafala pasta a fine veg selection. The scallops were smaller than expected and lacked a bit of creativity. The pork chop was ample to say the least and juicy but again could use some extra pizazz of some sort. The mousse dessert as good as it gets, yum. They’re so close to being totally amazing. Good value too – I wouldn’t hesitate going, but a hair short of truly great.

We treated ourselves to the Chef’s Counter experience which was worth every penny! Everyone on the Common Thread team was invested in providing the utmost of culinary experiences. The pride in what they do is apparent, the food is beautiful, delicious, and eating there is very near a spiritual experience. Hearing patrons at surrounding tables react to their food reinforced the shared experience of eating local fare that is thoughtfully prepared and proudly served at Common Thread!

Awesome experience at Common Thread for our anniversary dinner. My wife and I shared 5 plates over 3 courses (plus dessert), each was absolutely phenomenal and included a variety of interesting ingredients. The dishes were extremely well plated and the cocktails were equally displayed.
