Service was very odd. Server was friendly enough but my pop was a very bad fountain mix and it took forever to replace it (although they didn’t charge me for it). We sat down outside and it was lovely. We ordered our food – a burger and brisket – and enjoyed the live music a d pleasant evening. The tables to either side of us were seated well after us, ordered, received their meals (burgers) and we’re halfway done before our food arrived. We waited almost an hour. To be honest, we were on a date and had plenty of time so it wasn’t a big deal (plus, the food was pretty good) so it didn’t really didn’t bother us that much. Still, I can’t fathom why it took so long. One couple came 20 minutes after us and left 20 minutes before us. Still, we’ll be back. The patio experience here is really great (better than inside the restaurant) and the food is decent. The brioche bun in the burger was nice, the burger was flavorful and we’ll cooked.

The beer went flat fast and the meat was dry. The prices were decent, but that’s only because it was happy hour. Their fries and sauces are good. Not impressed, won’t go back unless friends drag me there. This was my third visit, still no different from the first.

This is a new favorite place for me and my friends. The food is fantastic. I really can’t stress enough how great the food is. Their cornbread muffins and pulled pork are to die for. The service is ok–I’ve have both great service and service that could be better. The atmosphere is hip and cool, though loud at busy times. But it’s all about the food though. So. Good.

I may try this place again but the first experience was uncomfortable. We went there specifically for the variety on their menu. When we sat down, the waitress did inform our group of six that hamburgers, fries and onion rings were not available to order. Hmmm. Some of us went there for hamburgers and fries, including our 4 year old boy, so not a good start. Well we decided to stay and he settled for a corn dog. When she took our order apparently corn dogs were not available either. What? We all finally ordered and food came out quick so that was great. I found it odd no reason or offer to encourage us to stay was given when we first sat down. I was curious and finally asked, their kitchen fan broke and it was the weekend. Understandable but they were so nonchalant that I debate about trying it again, seemed they did not care really either way whether we stayed or not.

This place is great. My wife and I both loved the BBQ (pulled pork) sandwiches. They offered lots of sauce options. I am from eastern NC, so having the vinegar based sauce is a deal breaker for me. Martin’s had it and it was great. We loved it. We plan to go back many times before our time in Moscow is over!

Went to lunch today for the first time at Martin’s Smokehouse. I must say that everything was delicious!! We had the brisket, ribs and pig wings. It was all falling off the bone, tender and so, so good. We will definitely be going back again. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent smokehouse food.

The brisket is incredible. My favorite sauce was the combination of the Balsamic BBQ and Carolina BBQ. Sides were also spot on: Cajun slaw, collard greens (with pulled pork!), mac n cheese, & cornbread with honey butter. Yum yum yum!
