The Dockside was always a favorite of ours, so we were saddened when it closed, but House of Smoke continues to be just as great! The food is delicious and all of the staff continues to treat us like family, with warm smiles each time we go! In particular, Yolanda, Suzanne, and Debbie go out of their way to make sure we feel welcomed and our needs are met. We can’t wait to go back again!

My bf and I were very excited to go here and it definitely met our expectations. It is really tasty southern bbq. We started with the street corn which I highly recommend. For dinner we split a 3-meat platter, it seemed a little overpriced for the amount of food, but was definitely enough for both of us. I personally really liked the pulled chicken and Mac n cheese. It’s a new spot in town that I think is really worth trying out!

It’s basically the same as dockside, friendly staff, food can be better. Salmon is small, but good, mashed potatoes are instant steak tips are so marinated. Also, French fries were cold. 96.00 dollars will not go back felt bad left a 20 dollar tip

Stopped in for dinner yesterday to check it out. Overheard the older dark haired bartender talking about how no one likes the new food. I have to say it was alright BBQ. The attitudes and nursing home atmosphere is certainly not worth it. Was excited about taking my girl for music/DJ but thinking not now.

Prices are really high especially for portion size. Had the brisket twice and different each time. Had the Queso twice and again different taste each time. The ribs were really bad – very burnt and not much meat on them. Consistency needs improvement. Any chance Queso can be offered in ‘mild’ and “hot” spice levels? Not everyone likes things really hot.

This is a sneaky, rebranding of The Dockside. It is still the same owner, but they have added a BBQ menu. We all ordered the 2 meat BBQ platter. Mine had warm mashed potatoes, but the meat wasn’t even Luke warm, it was cold. I didn’t know everyone in my party was served cold meat…or I would have asked for our money back. It just isn’t good food safety to cook the meat for hours, and then let it sit around and get cold. Also, I asked for a soda refill, and instead of bringing a new glass…they took my glass and refilled it. In the covid era that also doesn’t seem very sanitary. The portions were small for the $27 that they are charging. All in all, worse than before, which is hard to do. I honestly just feel tricked.

The queso is so damn good! Cheese fries with pulled pork or chicken will have you in a food coma. The wedge salad is always fresh and delicious. As well as the grilled chicken sandwich and Nashville hot crispy chicken sandwich. Yolonda abs JoJo are awesome, sweet and all around great people to talk to there. The staff gives you a wholesome greeting every time and make the place have a great family and friendly atmosphere. Check it out!
