A good local place and was busier on a Friday evening. Make sure to have a reservation. The staff and service was good and attentive. My favorite item is the Crabbier crab spaghetti. The crab meet was decent and the portion size was good. The soft shell crab was decent and the salad was ok(little under seasoned). The blueberry pie was tart and had good sweetness but the crust was a tad bit undercooked. The ice cream was soft and light. Overall a good place.

Celebrated our anniversary at Meadowlark. The atmosphere was slightly upscale but relaxed. We were seated along a bench row with several tables for 2 guests set. The space between the table was a little closer than we would have liked; however, everyone was polite and cordial. The drinks and food made up for the close quarter seating. Drinks were served in a timely manner and were made to order. We started with a starter Id highly recommend, the asparagus toast. Our main course consisted of the walleye and carbonera. Both looked and tasted wonderful! Overall, we had a great experience and we’d highly recommend.

The salmon dish was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Would love to come back and try something else off the menu or stop in for lunch. I also really loved the paintings for sale on the walls. They were beautiful!

What a lovely spot! I would call this my local watering hole, if I lived here. But we were visiting family, so will have to wait until our next visit to go again. Food was excellent and creative. I want to try everything on the menu. Excellent choice of mocktails and cocktails. Friendly, attentive service. Nice ambiance.

We’ve been here in Dayton for years and had heard about the Meadowlark restaurant but never took the opportunity.

Very underwhelming after hearing all the hype over the years. Maybe we caught them on a bad night? Staff was attentive and helpful. Food was bland and plated without inspiration or attention to detail for the price. Atmosphere was reminiscent of my late fathers elementary school room. 1 out of 3 tables brought their children I can only assume for the children’s menu that was more extensive than the adult menu. I never judge a place by one visit and don’t let my review scare you away. The Meadowlark seems to have a loyal following for a reason. I will investigate again and amend my review accordingly.

Remains one of Dayton’s best restaurants. The food was great. The servers always pleasant. We were a large group but they were able to attend to our needs without any problems.

My husband and I enjoyed our food. I ordered grilled Hanger Steak (medium rare) and my husband ordered Pork Jezebel. Both were delicious. The pork was tender and sweetened with creamy peach Jezebel sauce. The steak was a bit chewy due to the cut not preparation.
