I’ve been fortunate to be able to have more than a few meals here at Fuse. In all honestly, not a single one has been close to being disappointing.

Went for a birthday dinner. First time there, had a lovely accommodating experience. Staff and manager was extremely friendly. Had a 40 minute wait to speak with a waiter however once one came it was great. I definitely recommend.

Once again I found myself and Aiken South Carolina. I told my brother I found it to be a very enjoyable place to be not a really big city but just big enough to have wonderful places to see and go to and then includes Fuse in the Alley. The group I had met for business had setup to meet for dinner at this local establishment. It happens to be right across the way from Whiskey Alley which I reviewed back in December. Fuse is another nice restaurant with a bar establishment and both are equally busy. It was a nice night out so they had people sitting outside as well. Our party was provided a room out to the back of the restaurant, which had to take off from the painting and the Sistine chapel substituting the restaurants chef for God, at least that’s what we were told. It is an interesting addition to the decor and a definite conversation point. I’ve attached copies of the wine list and dinner offerings but neglected to get the extensive beer listing. After we all got our own personal libations, we all selected entrees and mine was the salmon sitting at a better risotto of asparagus. Two other people I noted had chosen the same entree for themselves. But across the board the group had taken a varying selection of the menu. After we got through the second round of libations, our food arrived and every single one of us comment an unique flavors of the dish but there were a couple dissensions as misses and execution. For example with my dish I had not expected the asparagus for how small the pieces were and they were very small or should I say thin in diameter turned out to be very crunchy. Not quite a raw crunchy because the asparagus itself bent easily but more like there was charcoal parts onto it. The asparagus was probably grilled but giving the diameter of the pieces that’s resulted in some sections just drying out too much. Not a real deal breaker though. I finished all my asparagus as well as everything else on the plate. Others did not totally finish their plates which is either a testament is to they got too much to eat or the areas they were commenting on prohibit them from finishing the meal. But I won’t state what they found wrong as it would be coming second hand for me instead of directly from me. But I think it is enough to knock the food down from a five to four. That’s not to say we didn’t have a good time there which we did. And the fuse is that kind of place you go in you sit down you get to converse and have friendly conversation with the people you there with and then enjoy some food. The prices might seem a little high, but not really. Traveling as much as I do I can easily say their prices are more than fair. To supplement the fact the staff was very attentive and cordial. Probably the only distractor was the fact that sitting in the room with the fresco painting on the ceiling meant about every 5 minutes there were three or four people poking their head in and commenting on the painting and the ceiling. Some were a little more boisterous than others not respecting the fact that there were people in the room trying to enjoy themselves. So I would recommend highly unless you’re with a party, a fairly large party like 20 or so at which point they would sit you in this room, I wouldn’t sit in this room. There are plenty of other find locations within the restaurant that have equally good ambience and decor. So add Fuse to the list of Aiken restaurants you need to try. I fully expect I’ll be back in Aiken and relatively soon so I look forward to trying another one of their finest establishments.

Had a reservation at 6:45 for a large group celebration. Seated on the patio. Our waiter was fantastic. He stayed on top of the drink, appetizer and entree orders. Tried a couple of appetizers and entrees, everything was delicious. We had a great time and enjoyed the evening. Would eat here again.

We had some friends visiting from out of town and we made a reservation at FUSE to take them to dinner. When we arrived, host was not polite or welcoming. He seemed like he didn’t want to be there! Waitress was very nice, polite and did a great job for us! Several of us ordered the steak/cheese sandwich and it came with fries. Fries were old and tasted bad. None of us finished our sandwich….Very salty with little meat. One of us got the ribs. They were fair, but have had much better at other restaurants! When we left and going out of door, same host was there. He didn’t say thank you for coming, hope you enjoyed your meal, please come back….didn’t say anything! We will not be going back!

So me and the wife stop in for a birthday dinner and just happens to be out first night reintroducing proteins into our purification diet where we can’t have certain items and the chef (Chris) was eager to assist in creating a dish specific to our needs…

I was reminded yet again as to why Fuse in Aiken is my favorite this week at a 6 course wine pairing meal to benefit Paceline. My great friend, Chef Chris Najmola, created some amazing dishes that paired perfectly with all the wines. It’s really hard to pick a favorite dish, so I’m picking two. The first dish was beef tenderloin, Foie Gras, truffle, with a Madeira redux served on a piece of brioche bread. The star of the show was a dry aged strip loin, twice baked potatoes, oyster mushrooms, and creamed spinach. If you have never been to a beer or wine pairing dinner, I highly recommend checking it out. Huge thanks to Fuse for putting on this awesome event to raise money for Paceline. Paceline is dedicated to cancer research here in Augusta and does so much for the community.

My husband and I made reservations online for 6:30PM. The host took us out to the patio and we told him it’s hot and we wanted to sit inside. The sun was in our eyes too. He told us we had to request to sit inside when we made reservations. I never had to request inside with reservations. He refused to seat us inside. We ordered wine , salad and dinner.

Some of the most incredibly flavorful food I have tried. The ramen is perfect, fries and Lamb burger mouthwatering and the best crème brûlée I have ever tasted. Extremely impressed. Our waitress gave us some excellent recommendations about drinks and food and was very sweet and professional. Will be back!
