My husband went in there on a lunch break which almost NEVER happens. So he’s waiting patiently but the clock is ticking so he asks about his order and was told they hadn’t started it yet. He had to get back to work and said well I need a refund and now I don’t have time to eat. He was given a refund and no apologies. This was 100% deliberate and discriminatory.

I’m happy they offer gluten-free bread and vegetarian/vegan options. Finally a place that has gluten-free bread (there’s only a couple of places that do) – however…. when you go here atleast 1-2 times a week, spend over $118 a month on there sandwich it’d be nice if you’d acknowledge your customer… say “Hi how are you today” “I know exactly what you want since you order the same thing every time”, etc, etc…….. the owner, nor the staff will even look at you, they’d ask me every single time what can I get for you when I literally ordered the same thing for 2 years… not a friendly staff – looks like everyone hates there job. Also when I’m walking in the door to go eat, I’d rather not have one of your staff members smoking right next to the front door because now I smell like cigarettes and have to go eat food that smells like it too. GROSS! On top of that she throws her cigarette on the ground right in front of the building. They’re everywhere on the ground. Let’s be classy people! I’ve decided not to go back here… they lost a pretty good chunk of change that I was spending there.

THE best philly cheesesteak I’ve had since moving here! I’ve had it from this location before and it was good (which is why I went there) but tonight it was AMAZING! The staff was friendly and it was super quick.. I waited 5 minutes tops. I would give 10 stars if I could.

While reading this just know that cheese steak subs are one of my favorite foods. I’ve had very good and I’ve had very bad. I’ve had cheese steak subs in the middle of Philly. So when I walked in to Larry’s in Fleming Island and saw the pre-cooked sub meat I knew that I should’ve immediately turned around. My first thought was, Subway has pre-cooked sub meat. But I made a 38$ mistake and stayed. I ordered 4 subs and the wait was a bit long for having precooked meat and all. It would’ve taken just as long to cook the meat fresh. Then again if it were fresh they would be a lot busier at 4:30 on a Friday. So I get the Subway like subs home and just as I thought. The meat was rubbery and luke warm at best. That’s what you get when you reheat red meat. Nobody in the family actually finished their subs. And we had just spent the better part of the day at the beach so we were starving. The complaints were that the subs were rubbery, had no taste and they were not hot at all. It is impossible to make a fresh sub with reheated red meat…YUCK!!!

I normally go to the one in Green Cove and today visiting the Fleming Island store made me realize why I go to the one in GC. First of all Marsha was on her phone and couldn’t seem to be bothered with taking our order correctly, her conversation with whoever she was on the phone with was clearly more important so of course I had to repeat myself several times, very nasty attitude and rolling her eyes because she wasn’t paying attention, her language was very vulgar. As we were walking out of the store she was sitting in the lobby and still on her phone, pretty sure she called my wife a rude b****. The food would have been good had our order been taken correctly! Marsha was just rude and probably shouldn’t be working in customer service! We will NEVER go back to that location if that’s how the owner allows the staff to act.

My wife and I come in once a week and Sierra is always the one to make our sandwiches and she makes them perfectly, my wife is very picky but always loves when Sierra is there and makes her sandwich, she’s very professional and gets us taken care of quickly due to our limited lunch break. Every time we come in she is working hard and does an amazing job! Give her a raise!!!
