The soup here is so fresh and filled with amazing ingredients! I haven’t found another ramen place that includes two pieces of delicious shumai like Akasaru does. They’re also generous with their pork belly without making it overwhelm the noodles and broth. All of the flavors just work together so well. Reasonable prices too. The place is a bit on the small side which makes me a little bit claustrophobic, especially if people are coughing inside, but service is wonderful and fast. Very efficient place to stop by for lunch.

Yummy ramen! Ordered the spicy coconut miso and the Akasaru. I love that they include 2 shumai in the ramen + the egg yolk was really good! Very small and cute lil restaurant. My pork belly was mainly gelatinous fat which I don’t like, but I passed it on to my boyfriend lol they give you a good amount of pork belly tho so that’s a plus.

delicious “locals” spot on alberta. i ordered the akasaru ramen no egg swapped out the egg noodles for rice noodles. i thought it would be a let down making this change, but i was pleasantly surprised by the texture of the noodles! they held their own against the traditional ramen noodles i’ve had.

Such a nice stop after a long night of too many drinks. The gyosha was such a great start followed by ramen, perfectly nestled with pork belly and tast broth. Everyone was super nice at Akasaru as well!

I ordered delivery from here and it literally had zero flavor I was SO disappointed. I put in miso and dashi at home to make it more flavorful but even then it just didn’t hit. The noodles themselves are also not that great. Plenty of other more authentic ramen spots this one feels tailored to Americans.

I tried a spicy tune poke bowl. The portions are small. The food is unimaginative; I love a classic poke bowl, but they simply put mainly hard unripe ingredients in a bowl without altering them in any creative way. It just wasn’t that good. I recommend going to one of the many other great poke bowl places near by.

YAY! I finally got to have some of their veggie ramen with the spice! They’re just so great, especially when you’re sick with a cold. Also, you can tell they’re a bunch of kind-hearts running the place. Love, love, love them and will keep coming back.
