Brisket is great, could probably offer a different bread like a bun as an option. Mac and cheese is different but still good but some would prefer without the bread crumbs I’m sure. House fries are amazing, better than at Big Time (if they even do it differently or they just changed the recipe), still not a complete fan of the house ketchup but it’s not the worst. Pickles are nice and spicy.

The food and the flavors were amazing! Best stuffed mushrooms I’ve ever had! I especially liked the sauces brought to the table in a caddy. I tried a different flavor with each bite, then mixed some. Picture is the last mushroom right before it was devoured!

Generous portions. Right amount of smoke, love the variety of sauces, house ketchup and homemade canned dill pickles were a nice touch. Friendly staff. I will be going back.

Smoked turkey leg was great and also the smoked chicken, baked beans, pickles, and coleslaw. You just need to stop here, right across from the firehouse if the hottest sauce is too much for you.

Tried for the first time as carryout. Brisket was very good. My husband thought the st Louis ribs were a little dry but had a good taste. Stars were the amazing baked beans and a very delicious cornbread. Will be going back again to give some of their other menu items a try.

Not impressed and frankly not sure if I’ll be sick later. Brisket was fatty and layered with onion on the bottom of the bun which tasted absolutely rancid. Fries were over seasoned to the point where I couldn’t finish more than a few of them. Wish I could get my $14 back.

Definitely good bbq. Had the monster sandwich. Huge portions. Pulled pork and brisket were excellent along with the jalapeno and cheddar cornbread with maple. Damn good and fast. My wife had the 1/2 chicken which was excellent too. Good smoke flavor and very moist. I wasn’t that big of a fan of the mac n cheese though which kept it from 5 stars.

Stopped while visiting Portage. Owner was friendly upon entering and very welcoming. We tried five different meats, all of which were great and the sides were huge! Even let us try a new maple bourbon sauce they just created which was yummy! Will come back if back in the area.

We always order a variety of food from new restaurants, but all of the fries were way too salty! This is coming from someone who adds salt to food that already has soy sauce, so the sodium tolerance is already high for us. The smoked sausage did not have that much flavor.
