Nunnu’s makes the best hot sandwiches in Connecticut! I am a huge sandwich guy and have tried SO many in my travels, but whenever I want the very best, I go to Nunnu’s. Well worth it to travel to even if you are further away like me. Besides the amazing food, I’m always treated as a friend and valued customer. I can tell that the owner takes great pride in all of his creations and his workmate is cheerful and welcoming at the register. I especially LOVE “The Cuban Melt” and “The Southern”, but have tried nearly everything on the menu and have never been let down. If you are lucky enough to stop in when they offer their limited-edition Corn Beef Reuben, get it while it lasts! If you’re looking for the perfect sides, each sandwich comes with homemade chips (so good!) and I usually add their amazing Veggie Slaw, or Tomato Bisque. This sandwich shop is a gem and I can’t wait to go back!

Passed through on our way from Boston to NYC, looking for a great lunch spot, easy access from Merritt parkway on route 25. We had the grilled meatloaf , Cobb salad and a really great potato salad. All of them were fabulous and very fresh. Such a great find and well worth the seven extra minutes, rather than eating rest stop food. The small business owners really take “eat local” to heart and were very accommodating for special requests. Fit the bill on all levels. We’ll definitely go back and will send our friends☺️☺️

This place is great! We went after my daughter’s soccer game and it was definitely worth the stop. The sandwiches were excellent. I ordered the Pepperonata which was super! It had a little heat to it which was great! I swapped out the pulled pork and opted for the chicken. The chicken was great quality chicken! I am picky with my chicken and from some places you get grisly pieces mixed in. The bread was nice and fresh and warmed to perfection!

I would go once a week if I could. All of the sandwiches are delicious. A little bit on the pricey side but the quality of ingredients, the homemade potato chips and portion sizes make up for it. The owners are also super nice!
