I almost skipped over trying this place as we were looking for something upscale to eat with friends. Dive bar has certain connotations. But this place is anything but a dive bar! The drinks were tasty, the shareable plates were well portioned and the entrees were all memorable. This was an excellent meal. Mars was our waitress and she was personable and provided great service. The entire evening was wonderful from the decor, to the staff, to the great food and drinks.

Hank’s is a new favorite restaurant, named after an adorable cockapoo. There is indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. It’s beautifully decorated. The entire menu was gluten free, with the exception of 1 food item and the beer selection. The desserts were even GF.

One of the outright best restaurants in the Triangle and absolutely one of the most underrated! The flavor pairings are consistently some of the most unexpected, delicious, and surprising that I’ve found anywhere. The fried chicken is outright “slap yo mama” good and can easily knock the socks off even the most heralded Southern fried chicken. The vibe is immaculate, the service always on point, the cocktails delicious.

Incredible food and very crisp rose wine! The ceviche was absolutely amazing, heirloom tomatoes were seasonally amazing and the steak was perfect in every way

What an amazing restaurant! I took clients there for a business dinner and Hank’s did not disappoint. We stared with Crispy Cauliflower, Mushroom Toast and Roasted Oysters. All amazing! I gotta say that the Roasted Oysters are to die for. The menu has them listed in a pineapple sesame butter, to me it was a sweet buttery broth with a little garlic hint to it. Just pick up an oyster and slurp it down. Yummmmy!

I recently planned a get-together at Hank’s and not only were they SUPER accommodating to our party (even calling to confirm our reservation the week of) but they adjusted the day of when we ended up with a different number of guests, sat 2 of us at our table right away when we arrived a bit early, and the service was just WONDERFUL. We had a few dietary needs at our table and our waitress was so thorough, helpful, and attentive. On top of all that, the food was delicious! The tomato burrata small plate and fried chicken main course were our personal favorites and the cocktails she recommended for us were fantastic. I really don’t have enough good things to say about Hank’s and will be coming back soon!

Looking for something upscale and ah-mazingly delicious in Cary. I think I’ve found it. Pricey, for sure, but if I want to show off my town to someone from out of town, I’m bringing them here. My plates: lasagna (this was soooo good. The sauce tasted like one I make at home that takes me hours and is divine. The cheese had a slight crunch on the edges where it was toasty. The veggies were just right, not soggy.) & salad (basic greens with pickled onions that were a highlight) and a side of green beans (blanched perfectly and the spice on them had a slight smokiness). My partner had the steak. He said the meat wasn’t the best cut of meat, but it was cooked correctly. The parking situation is awful – not enough of it.

We had an excellent time at Hank’s. We’d been in a time before just for drinks (the Aperol Spritz is stellar) but this was our first time eating. Started with a white negroni, still bitter but less sweet than a classic negroni but had a herbal flavor. Great when cold but a bit too herbal when it warmed up. Tried the mushroom toast and while it was good, we probably would not get again. The oysters were great and we loved Hank’s hot sauce enough to buy a bottle to take home. Both tacos we had were excellent but the shrimp one was OMG great and I hope they opt to keep that as a normal item. The brisket one was still quite delicious. The fried chicken came with fries and a small salad. Fries were really good. The chicken was perfect. So crispy, great flavor, very moist. Liked adding some of that hot sauce on it, too. Wonderful waitress handling multiple tables did great. Enjoyed talking with Matt, too.

For me, food was a 3.5 . Maybe I visited on their off day because other than cooking the ribeye exactly as I requested, I wasn’t wowed as others claim.

Cute place in DT Cary. Very small menu. A bit pricey for what you get but not terrible except for the glass of wine prices. I did not like the beer/wine list but we did have an LIT that was damn tasty. We had the tacos and burger. Both were fantastic! I also had a side of broccoli that was the most perfectly cooked broccoli I have ever had. Service was pleasant. I’ll probably try it again. I do love the name.
