Again I’m disappointed with Rustic Cafe. Today I drove from Gila Bend Arizona for fuel and a meal. I got my fuel with no problem, but Rustic Cafe was a different issue. I’ve been sitting for the last 7 1/2 hours driving and I was planning on sitting down to a good meal. The cafe was open, but for take-out only. I ordered my burger and fries with a tea. When the meal came out in a box I took it back to my truck. The burger was just a bun with a hamburger patty with a slice of cheese. There was enough fries to fill a coffee cup (barely.) And there was no tea brewed. Also no credit cards allowed, cash only. Why did they remodel the dining area? Tax write-off maybe. I’m very disappointed and will be fueling at Allsup’s in the future.

Can’t really give an accurate review because they gave us notice upon arrival that they only had 1 cook & it would be a very long wait so we left. We did notice everyone already seated looked pretty upset & saw some other people walk out as well. As far as appearance, not an inviting place, inside a gas station, looks like a very dive place. Won’t attempt going back.

Really bad service not even worth going there . This is the second time we where told after we waited for 10 minutes to get service. we were told there’s no cook. The first time the waitress lost our order and after we reordered we where told the chicken fried steak was to frozen together and cook couldnotfigure out how to separate. Wow

Passing through and after reading the reviews of hearty portions and seeing pictures, I decided to stop. Was craving a hearty and delicious breakfast and ordered the Rustic Breakfast for 8.99 which includes 2 biscuits, 2 eggs, 1 meat, hash browns and gravy. About 30 min later, I was greatly disappointed Looks like someone’s leftovers. There was one biscuit cut in half,, not 2 as described, bacon was soggy from sitting in the gravy and one of the strips is barely cooked and not edible. The hash browns were non existent and the gravy was sparse. The only positive, the wait staff was extremely friendly and prompt.

We where here last night got great service and good food. But this morning the old blonde hair waitress just come completely gave us the cold shoulder didn’t want to say anything to us taking care of everybody else but us. I’m sorry but we didn’t anything to this woman and we tip very good. We will not come back here anymore they lost our business. She pass by us 6 times not wanting to look at us.

Probably the crappiest food place I’ve been to. Manager constantly online and acting bothered when asked for help. Wanted to charge extra for green Chile on a burrito even though it was included on the menu. They had no fresh salsa made for burrito even though it was 3 pm. When burrito was ready, manager again busy on her phone so had ask for food, The kicker: burrito was smaller than a hot pocket. Manager kept blaming owner as stingy. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place and go get food at gas station next door or Taco Bell down the street.

They remodeled, so that was nice. Decent service. But they didn’t have basic things any place that serves food should have. I asked for mustard and catchup didn’t have those. And no ice tea. Go figure.

We seated ourselves and waited about 10 mins for service.drinks were slow, comming placed our order. 5 mins past waitress comes back and says we are out of greens and cold cuts. Sorry if you run out of something. A waitress should know .we ordered chips, and salsa had to ask for them twice. Different waitress walk by and tells use they are out of salsa. Ordered a bit of bread was soaking in butter you could have rung out like a dish rag.. went to pay, and they were going to change us for the chips and salsa that they didn’t have .never told us about the special tgat Shelly Smith who worked there was raving about. This place is a waste of time and money

We caught them on a bad day but the food was goods and the people care about the customer. They need to step it up a bit with getting the food to the table when the order is up…we waited more than 5 minutes for our food after we could see it was ready.
