Its Just Me
Fun dining experience with friends. Food was good. Menu had lots of options unless you’re vegetarian. If you have you here with you, kids options are available if you ask. Bar menu has creative concoctions with a super diverse liquor stock. Food came quick despite a full dining room. Our tab ran about $70/pp but we had bar items plus shared a couple appetizers and desserts. Look forward to a return visit to try new items. Servers and support staff were fun and pleasant. This is a “special evening” dining experience due to price but worth the splurge. Will be back!

Tasty food, pleasant atmosphere, very nice staff. The staff was very attentive, our dirty dishes were never on the table for more than a minute or so. We ordered steaks, potato pancakes, garlic green beans, Brussels sprouts, French fries, kids spaghetti. Everything was delicious!

Our first time there, I ordered lobster roll first I could smell bad fish smell then I tasted it, it was bad it tasted old and rubbery. Atmosphere was bad Alot of TV’s and the staff was young and loud. No manager came out to see what was wrong with the food.

Called ahead for reservation Friday night. Went in sat me right down. Server was very pleasant and attentive also very good at explaining the dishes. Food was very good. I really enjoyed the lemon cream soup. Steak was well hooked and seasoned. The whole experience was great. Will go in there again.

Delicious lobster roll! Very loud on a Friday night but a very enjoyable dinner with drinks. Our waitress was super friendly and took good care of us. Our drinks and food were all very yummy. I think this was our third visit and we definitely will come back when looking for restaurants in mchenry!

Not sure how I’ve never come across this place, but it was amazing. Had a New York strip with creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was done to perfection. For apps we had stuffed mushrooms and grilled avacados. We loved them both. Service was also amazing. Our drinks were always full. Thank you Allison. Can’t wait to go back.

I really want to love this place. We have been there four times. The first visit was amazing, food was great and service was great. The next three visits were all down hill as far as steaks are concerned. The kitchen just can’t figure out how to plate a steak at the temperature requested. At $50+ a steak it should be at temperature or as close to it. Order medium rare, get medium well. Order medium well, get rare. The quality of the cut also has gone down hill. Less meat and more fat. After two visits with multiple bad steak experiences we decide to give one more chance. We were assured that we would get the best steaks and that this visit would be the best visit. Wife ordered rib-eye medium well and I ordered bone-in rib-eye medium rare. Both steaks came out raw in the middle with a quick char on the outside. Both went back. My steak came back medium well and the the wife’s steak had to go back two more time , only to come back shoe leather. It was ok thought, the waitress offered au jus. Sarcasm implied. Like I said before, the service has always been great. The food would also be great if they could just figure out how to properly cook a steak. If your are going to be a steak house at least get steak right the first time.

2 stars are for the bartender and the filet mignon sliders. The steak quality was subpar. It seemed as though the steak was sous vide and the grill marks are fake. For the price that they charge, we were very disappointed. Maybe we’ll give the resto another chance but not anytime soon.

We typically get Steak and Lobster every time we go and it has been on point and cooked to perfection every time. The first time we went we met this amazing waitress and have asked for Kristen every time we go. We don’t get lucky every time but everyone else has been just as attentive and delightful.
