Good service, okay food, but to be frank it’s really overpriced and underwhelming. My friend and I got martinis and simple entrees (Chicken Marsala and a roasted veggie platter) and paid entirely too much for what was very mediocre, both drinks and food. We’d heard from many people that this was the best place for fine dining on Emerald Isle, but only the prices suggested it. A $44 entree ‘add-on’ is silly. Our server was very nice but barely visited our table. And overall the atmosphere was off-putting, with early 2000s decor including prints of wine bottles, word cutout art, and a scary lamp that matches one I ripped from my newly purchased old house the day I closed. If money is no concern and you like goofy decor, Curlz font and martinis, by all means go here, but if you’re expecting a thoughtful fine dining experience that you’ve saved up for, this isn’t it.

Outstanding! We got the filet and the grouper specials. Both were incredible! Everything from the food and martinis to the service and atmosphere were superb! Looking forward to our next chance to go again! We really enjoyed our 15th anniversary dinner here.

Vegetable Napoleon, seafood coquina, polenta crusted goat cheese were very tastey. Really enjoyed the food and would come back again. Great service as well.

Service was outstanding. Food was good but not great. Martini was excellent. Old fashioned has some room for improvement. Overall a good experience.

Honestly, from the outside, I thought this place looked like a hole in the wall at the end of strip mall. Boy, was I mistaken! This cozy restaurant was without a doubt, TOP TIER! The waitstaff was in the top three I have ever had; extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and radiating love of the job. The food was unbelievably good. We had the special of soft shell crab, flounder, and the appetizer of lamb lollipops. Excellent! Also the martini’s, of course, were truly unmatched! High end place all the way around. We will be back for certain.

Every single thing about Kathryn’s from start to finish was perfect. We arrived around 5:30 in hopes of beating the crowd and were seated immediately. The service was fantastic. The oysters were phenomenal and some of the best I’ve ever eaten, martinis were made perfect, and the lobster tail and special of the night were yummy. We will definitely make this a monthly stop.

This would have been 5 stars if not for our level of service. It was definitely an older crowed and with myself and my partner who are much younger we did feel neglected. It seemed our server checked in on his older patrons 3 times the amount we were checked on. I had to wait 12 minutes and after 3 attempts on the 4th was finally able to flag them down just for a refill on my beverage.
