We decided to stop at the Seabiscuit Cafe for a late lunch. We ordered the Painted Pony Macaroni appetizer and it was delicious. My husband ordered the World Famous Derby Burger and I ordered the Whitefish and Chips. Both main course meals were delicious. Definitely recommend eating here while on the island.

We stopped in to have a light lunch. We ordered the cup of whitefish chowder with the whitefish dip. The chowder was amazing. The dip was also amazing. It was a pate with Flatbread and crackers. Our server was so nice, and we enjoyed chatting with her and learning more about the island. With so many choices on the island, we are glad we stopped here.

Delicious whitefish Reuben sandwich !! Complete it with sweet potato fries. Whitefish dip appetizer with naan bread and salted crisps was fabulous. Located close to the Schleppers ferry.

I’m so so disappointed to leave this review. My family has always loved this place. Tonight, we put our name in for a table of 10. We knew it would be a decent wait for a group that large, knowing there was only 1 table that could seat all of us. We were fine with it! My mom waited and waited and waited for our table to become ready. Once it did, and was cleaned down, a group of TWO hopped into the table/booth. A table that seats 10!…. Even though there were multiple other tables available. My mom asked the hostess what was going on/why that couple sat there. She was told, sorry…that’s the owner….

The place so nice we ate here twice. The wife and I were on our 10yr anniversary and stopped for supper. My burger was awesome and the wife had fish and chips she also said was awesome. Service was also great. I pointed out the glass I was served beer in was chipped on one side and a little sharp (wouldn’t have known myself if that wasn’t where I drank from) and the server thanked me for pointing it out, chucked the glass when I was done, and gave me a small complimentary glass of beer to boot. We came back for an equally amazing breakfast the next day and joked and talked with the fun bartender. Best experience on the island for us.

I haven’t had good dining experiences at Mackinaw Island, however, sea biscuit Cafe was excellent. Autumn, our server was Excellent. She got a custom plate for my wife. I had fish tacos and they were perfect. I highly recommend this place.

We ate here for dinner and then liked it so much we did breakfast. We were not disappointed with either. The French toast is amazing and you are going to want to do fish and chips or perch tacos for dinner trust me. Both are awesome.
