My husband and I had lunch here today. The place was very clean and atmosphere was very nice and comfortable. I would have given this 5 stars but I think the prices were high and the bangus had a funny taste to it. I am not a fan of it. But the laing was to die for. I think it’s the best one I’ve ever had. My husband’s lechon manok was delicious. But regardless of the cons I think the service and the place mostly make up for it. We will still definitely come back and try the other dishes. Kudos to all the people in the kitchen.

Great ambiance in comparison to other local Filipino restaurants. The place has a high ceiling and is well-lit. Nostalgic decorations. Decent menu selections. Food tastes as expected of regular Filipino cuisine. Ordered crispy pork sinigang but got regular crispy pork on rice. They gave us two free bowls of food so I opted not to complain.

Sari Kusina just opened in Supreme BBQ and it’s fantastic. I love Paolo Dungca’s cooking. He opened Pogiboy, then Hiraya, and now this- finally a good Filipino spot in NoVa. I’ve been twice since it opened in early December and I enjoyed everything. The smoked beef rib bistek was massive and still tender. The brisket sinigang was so flavorful and unique. The lechon kawali was crispy but not greasy at all. I loved the ginataang gulay (butternut squash and other veggies in coconut milk). I also had the sisig, pork skewers, and the pork tocino ribs- all delicious. I highly recommend. I’ll be going back regularly.

Food was fantastic! I tried the sisig, hamonado, pork bbq, pork and chicken isaw, and lechon kawali with the java rice and atchara. They all provided the satisfaction I was looking for in comfort Filipino food!

Wow! Is what I can say about the food, staff and most of all Chef. Man I’ve never been so happy and satisfied! This was my first time trying Filipino food and this was by far the best experience I’ve EVER HAD! The food was so fresh and flavorful, all I can say is mmmm mmmm mmmmmmmm with every bite I took lol, it blew my mind how good it was. We tried 7 items on the menu and all was amazing and not one missed! Definitely coming back and back and back and back lol. Highly recommend this place.

Sari Filipino Kusina, gives me the feeling of home. As you enter the door, you will see a family portrait! Very Filipino, and I love to know the people behind the food. Then when you enter the second door, you will welcome by the living room-style seating area, with Philippines souvenirs and paraphernalia.

I ordered takeout and got the pork belly BBQ, Longanisa, and Lechon Kawali! I really liked the contemporary styling of the dishes, it’s a nice change up from the traditional/typical Filipino food I’m used to back home. First time ordering and will definitely be back in the future!

I was really excited to check this place out since it’s bringing more attention to filipino food, however I think this place falls flat in doing a good job at it. The food looks good on those popular food tiktoker accounts, but the flavors, price, and execution in real life didn’t live up to the hype.

Why this restaurant is ranked 4.3 stars is beyond me. The interior is cute and clean. Staff is extremely friendly. The food is delicious. The chicken dish is very tasty-all the flavors worked well together. Left full and with leftovers!

Great food! Really interesting combination of barbecue with Filipino comfort dishes. I recommend trying the sinigang with crispy pork belly or the beef rib bistek. The smoked meats just add another layer to the classic dishes. I also enjoyed the ginataang gulay—the sauce was really creamy and just different from other thinner-sauced ginataans I’ve had. Def worth a visit!
