We stopped at this place on the road trip. We ordered shrimp broccoli and Mongolian beef. Both dishes tasted good and ingredients looked and tasted fresh. Beef was perfectly spicy. I used to love Golden Star, we would get it on a weekly basis. For the past several months it has been extremely inconsistent with quality on a steady decline. The chicken and broccoli we picked up tonight was absolutely inedible – it is gummy and slimy and the chicken is absolutely awful. It’s sad because it used to be great, unfortunately we will be looking for a new place for Chinese takeout!

Wow. I love Chinese food, and this place comes out on top. Might not be the fanciest restaurant, basically take out, but more than worth it. Customer Service was friendly, food was quick, best of all delicious. I’ll make the trip to Golden Star in Johnson City for my Chinese food cravings from now on.

Ordered over the phone and the person never asked what size order I wanted and just proceeded to charge me for 2 larges. To make it worse the pepper steak was literally gross. Probably the worst pepper steak I’ve ever had.
