Marugame you’ve done it again. Somehow each and every location offers the same exquisite quality of fresh chewy noodles as the base for their endless combination of broths and toppings. Even though they’re in their soft opening until 6.5.23 theyre already running at full capacity. Don’t let the long lines deter you. It moves fast and is worth the wait. There’s plenty of seating available indoor and outdoor.

The line can be intimidating but think of it as the post-order wait time that one might see at a burger joint or fast food spot, since you get to eat immediately after paying. After getting there before 11:30AM on a Saturday, we waited about 15-20min in line then finished our meal fairly quickly so we were in and out after 30 minutes.

You select food and tempura first, then pay at the end. The udon and tempura was good, but tonkotsu ramen was just so so. Meat amount is limited. We ordered large ramen, however it only has extra noodle but no extra meat.

I love marugame udon and would always visit anytime I happened to be in LA. There was also a location in SF but it felt too out of the way to go. So I was super happy when I saw they opened a location in valley fair (which I assume has a long line) and then even happier when they opened one in Cupertino right next to my house. They’re in soft opening until 6/5 this coming Monday so I highly recommend stopping by before their grand opening since there is not much line or wait right now. The food also tastes just as good.

Decent food – my first experience with Marugame was with their Oahu location and that seemed to taste better. Not sure if that’s just perception or reality. Regardless, this place is worth visiting.

This was the first time I ate in any Marugame and it was love from the first sight. As a big fan of udon and tempura I am so happy to have this place in Cupertino!!! Fresh, quality noodle and hot tempura. They have two vegan broths – I tried tan tan and really enjoyed it.

Great udon with loads of options. I had the large tankatsu and it was perfect. Almost too much. I’ll go with regular size from now on. The tempura was good but not great. A little too greasy and not very warm. Right now there’s a wait to get in but not too bad.

If you find yourself seeing the line outside of marugame udon and wondering if it’s worth bothering, I say stick with it. I got the curry nikutama and also tried the normal nikutama, and both are so delicious. The sweet beef is delicious (not actually “sweet” but japanese sweet) and a good portion of meat I felt.
