We went to Big John’s Eatery on a Sunday for breakfast with my family. We had the chicken and waffles (with tenders and quarters), the French toast and my husband had the Florida boy, with the hash brown casserole and a pancake on the side. I opted for the all day mimosas (the cranberry was my favorite, however, the passion fruit is the house favorite). I’m not sure why people complained of how long the food takes to come out, because we didn’t notice as we were submerged in conversation. The food was good (in my opinion) and our server Aria (hopefully I spelt her name correctly ) was a whole vibe!! I will definitely ask for her whenever we eat there. She was pleasant, friendly and professional all at the same time. She gave great suggestions and even helped me secretly ordered the bottomless mimosa . We will definitely be visiting them again.

The food was worth the hour ish wait today. I viewed the menu ahead of time. I was torn between the breakfast bowl, and the biscuit and gravy. I ended up ordering the breakfast bowl and did a side of biscuit and gravy. The biscuit, it was not dry and a perfect complement with the gravy. While we were the the owner came in and chatted with each table. That was a nice touch to the experience. We will definitely go again, but maybe during the week when it is less busy.

My family and I went on a Sunday and we were seated immediately. We ordered the banana bourbon French toast, the chicken and red velvet waffles, and the French toast breakfast with scrambled eggs. The banana bourbon French toast was all of our favorite, but a small portion size for the price. The chicken and waffles were nothing to write home about— the waffles were cold and dense, the chicken tenders were over breaded. My mom’s eggs were a weird consistency with little flavor. Our server was attentive but asked us several times (along with other employees) if we were enjoying our food. We were the only table that received our check without asking, even though I was still actively eating, and we arrived AFTER the other parties were seated

First time visiting this morning with my husband and was pleasantly greeted by Big John himself. My husband ordered the salmon and grits and I got oxtail and grits which were both excellent!! We aren’t from the area, but if we’re ever in the area we will be sure to visit again!

Big johns is definitely worth visiting, amazing atmosphere, friendly staff , and the owner himself walks around greeting and thanking people for stopping by. My only complaint is that the food does take a while to come , and they do serve off brand fountain drinks that I personally didn’t like. The food was definitely worth the wait . I had the oxtail and grits which was packed with flavor, and very delicious from the first bite to the last . My wife had the French toast and she enjoyed it as well. I would definitely come back and visit.

Good Experience overall. I had the oxtail and grits and Passionfruit juice. There was ample oxtails in my plate, love that. However the dish was just ok…..The service was good too. I like the brunch vibes and they have a good playlist. Definitely will be back and highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I came here for the first time on a Sunday and needless to say it was a loooooong wait to get seated. However, it was worth the wait. John, along with his staff were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. So we ordered the oxtail & grits, peach cobbler French toast, a side of chicken tenders and the bottomless mimosas. The oxtails & grits were so delicious! The peach cobbler French toast I felt could’ve and would’ve been better with caramelized brown sugar fresh peaches, instead of what tasted like canned peaches, the mimosas was so good and refreshing. Also, I would suggest seating at the bar for those who wouldn’t mind it. Overall, I would recommend and I will be back to try other dishes.

I was recommended to Big John’s Eatery. What I can say is food look good just small portions for the price. When you have a waffle I prefer my hot not cold.

Food came out faster than we expected. Everything was delicous and hot. Our favorites were the chicken and red velvet waffles. The chicken was juicy , had crispy skin and was packed with flavor. The banana brule and coconut french toast was so yummy. Definitly coming back to try more!
