Seems like not that long ago, every town had a Long John Silver restaurant, now they are few and far between. The Gate City location is my favorite of the few left. Service is fantastic, very nice, friendly and helpful, the food is always hot and fresh, coleslaw delicious. If you’re in the mood for fast seafood that’s good, give them a try.

Went here 10 minutes before closing without realizing the time. Proceeded to order 70.00 in food and these people went above and beyond. They told me politely there would be a wait. I informed them I didn’t mind. Still not realizing the time. They the turned off the lobby lights and I looked at the cashier and only then did she tell they were closing then offered to let me wait inside while they finished my to go order. I thought that was kind of them. They could have easily turned me away. This was our only chance to have our sons birthday dinner so I was very grateful And over the moon that they did not. They were kind, patient, and professional. They displayed a level of customer service that beyond their duty. Everyone that was working at closing on 8/21 thank you. I hope your managers and owners recognize what a special group of people they have there. A group that doesn’t do the bare minimum and still recognizes what customer service is.

Staff is super friendly, professional and nice. Unlike some other drive thrus where the staff just sound like they hate their jobs when you order your food. Food is also made fresh as you order so there is a small wait but at least you know it’s fresh. Restaurant is also very clean and staff does a great job keeping it that way for such an old building.
