At our Memphis, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Our food tasted good. However, we ordered a spicy meal, but received a regular meal. The order was ready sooner than expected. The carryout bags were tied shut, so we didn’t notice the order being incorrect until we were home. Service is marked less, because the order wasn’t filled correctly.

This location, considered to be in Bartlett, usually has a clean lobby and restrooms. The staff seem polite and helpful, and the food is usually great. I have visited during a “rush” period and have seen the front counter get a little frazzled. I have gone out of my way to come to this Cpt D’s just because, they usually have a better atmosphere, promptness of service with hot, fresh food.
