Food was good. It’s not bad. I’m spoiled because I’ve had really good food in big cities so this is good for what Midland has to offer. The sushi could be better, ours wasn’t rolled tightly so it just fell apart and for the price it was on the high side for some rolls. Our udon was pretty good. it’s definitely a place everyone should go try and support. The staff was super friendly.

Small menu and place. Starter salad was gross. The food quality and taste is average, not the best but not bad. SHOCKING prices. $20 to $30 for 1 regular sized “specialized” roll. Neary $20 for tofu soup. Not worth another visit for me.

There is not another restaurant that comes close to Tokyo 1! This is hands down the best restaurant in Midland! Udon and sushi are our go to and they can’t be beat! Customer service is great, it’s family friendly, but also our favorite place for date night! It’s family owned and it shows!

Literally The Best Sushi in Midland! Me and the wife are from SoCal so we’re used to eating some pretty good quality sushi’s. We’ve tried Sumo, Volcano & Hayashi and those were all complete trash sushi, not even anywhere close to Tokyo1’s quality!

Heard a lot of good things about this location since it reopened and it is definitely worth all the hype. All of the sushi was extremely fresh and fairly priced for the area. Rice for the sushi and rolls was cooked perfectly. Their hot foods were great too, I kept looking around at other diners plates because everything that was coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled great. It is a small dining space, and they can be busy during lunch time, but definitely worth the wait look forward to coming back and trying more

Please visit this gem with great food, unique options and friendly service. We live nearby and walked in tonight for dinner. The Udon noodles were phenomenal and fresh. The sushi was the highlight for me, I highly recommend the Volcano Roll. Egg rolls are served in a generous portion of 4 or 5 with sauce. Prices are good, too. We will return!

My daughter LOVES sushi and this place did not disappoint. The spicy garlic edamame and egg rolls were sooooooo good. She also got the Ramen and it was very good and flavorful. Our sushi took a bit to come out, but you can tell it’s because they take their time to make every single dish from scratch. So don’t come here if you’re wanting fast, over the counter sushi/food. Worth the wait. We will definitely be back.

Honestly it’s so nice to have this place in Midland. The food was delicious, and you could taste the freshness. Best sushi in Midland hands down. I have missed having this good of sushi quality that they have. Then the owners where so nice and friendly. So much so I felt like they were hosting dinner at their home. My wife and I look forward to our next visit. Hopefully we will see you there.
