First time coming, walked right in, people in front of me walked out and said the “menu is too complicated”. I couldn’t understand that. I personally thought very simple to the point. I see this type of menu in big city regions. I ordered “to go” southwest chicken tacos. Speed of getting my order was great. Got to work, chips (that went with the salsa on the side) are stale tasting with a bad greasy shine to them. Attached are 3 pictures. I ate 2 chips, passed up eating the rest. The 3 tacos (street taco small size) were ok, not bad but needs some improvement on flavor. I know this is new place and improvements could and will be made. Love seeing a band setting up. Paducah needs a variety of venues with music, with an outdoor seating area, and in a decent area. I will try this place again maybe in a couple months.

I liked everything about this place. The seasoning is a little spicy for me, but I can’t handle black pepper either so there’s that. The owner stopped by our table and asked how we like everything. I had chosen southwestern, he brought me a different sauce to try, but it was too much for me too. He quickly got me some water when I needed more. I am impressed with how kind and accommodating he was. The steak I had in my quesadilla was delicious. I will go back and go sauceless with extra salsa (it was mild enough).

So I went to try this out on day number 2 of being open. You walk in and order in the back, pay, then you get your own drinks. The staff was nice at the register and one of the staff was helpful with menu options. The food was brought out pretty quick. (they weren’t very busy). I ordered a steak burrito with their Baja option. The flavor was really good with pineapple salsa, queso and slaw. The burrito was a nice hefty size but I wasn’t super happy with the steak. It was diced up very small and was a bit dry and chewy. I also ordered rice and beans on the side. I really liked the rice. Had a very good flavor. The beans were seasoned good and they had a little kick to them. It was refreshing to get actual beans instead of run of the mill refried beans. My burrito also came with a side of chips and salsa. I really liked the salsa, it tasted very fresh. I wish the salsa cup was a bit bigger. Didn’t have enough even with a small side of chips. I wanted to get dessert but I didn’t feel like it was worth waiting in line again. The bartender walked by once but after my food was delivered no one specifically checked on me to see if I needed anything or wanted dessert. Guests should have the option of ordering additional items at the table without having to get up and get in line again and potentially abandoning an open table.

I came in for lunch after hearing this new place opened up on the radio. Food was fantastic, fast and the portions were perfect. I was even more happy to see they are booking entertainment for both the weekend and some weekdays. Paducah NEEDS more live music desperately and glad to see Burrito After Dark understands this. Overall a great experience and I plan to go back often. Sidenote, I wish those who left three stars and one star reviews understood how detrimental poor reviews are for a business. If they had been open for a longer period of time, long enough to get the kinks out, that would be one thing. It’s another to have unrealistic expectations for an establishment that’s been open for literally a few weeks. One review even said they came in on day two. It’s totally unfair to expect everything to be perfect. If you’re reading this please be aware of this fact and maybe think twice. Share your thoughts with ownership, yes. But maybe hold off on publicly giving a poor review which can have a negative impact on the future of this business.

We came around 5pm on a Friday and received immediate service. Menu options offer a nice selection for varied taste preferences. Staff makes it a point to check on your meal and needs multiple times. Also noticed families coming in. Will definitely come back.

Great customer service, very friendly. The atmosphere was nice as well. However, the burrito just weren’t what I expected. They were decent, but not top notch. Salsa was bland & small portions for the amount of chips you get. We also ordered the pretzel, it was over cooked/burnt. Overall, just wasn’t what was expected. Will probably try again later down the road when the kinks are worked out.
