Every time I come to get breakfast they tell me they either forgot to make steak or it has 20+ minutes until it is ready. It’s irritating to pay for steak and have to chose between bacon or sausage. I come to this taco johns for breakfast at least 2 times a week and there has only been 1 time I have been able to get steak.

The food was good and prepared quickly. Some of the staff where friendly and welcoming. What brings the rating down is while I was sitting there eating someone else in the lobby allowed their kid to get up on the counter by the register and stand there the staff said nothing and did nothing about it and after the kid was taken off the counter the counter was not wiped down or cleaned at all. This kinda grossed me because people touch the counter and then their food and vice versa workers touch the counter and then the food. And lord only knows what was on the kids shoes.

Always one of my first places to visit when I visit family in Iowa. I love the chicken and potato burritos along with the potato ole with cheese dip. Not healthy at all but completely worth the calories. Service has always been very friendly and the establishment is always very clean
