Dagwoods recently opened on the west side of the Housatonic; I believe they used to have a location in New Milford, but I don’t know if that’s still open or if they moved across the river. At any rate, I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, and it was very good. The chips that came with them were obviously made in-house, but I thought they had a slightly burned taste. Not sure if that was an accident or intentional, since some people like them that way, but I wasn’t a fan. At any rate, the sandwich [mostly] made up for it … it was very tasty and the avacado made a nice touch.

First time was for lunch. Had the bolero. Inventive and delicious. Second time was breakfast. Steak Benedict was superb, grits okay. Stay away from biscuits and gravy. Gravy was tasteless. Third time not a charm. Meat with steak Benedict was tough and gristled. Service has never been a strong point, and who cares, but this time was a joke. Want to like this place. Will try one more time

I want to give a 4 star but I was very disappointed that the fried chicken was cold in the middle. It was cooked but it was clear that they just heated it up. It was disappointing because my appetizer was awesome and the burger delicious. I’m hoping this was a one time thing

I called to place an order after seeing the menu on their website. The girl on the phone was nice but I overheard the cook complain about making an item no longer being on the menu. I changed what I wanted despite being discouraged, but the food ended up being awful. All of it smelled incredibly fishy, and had no flavor. I threw it all out and took a picture to remind myself to never go back.

Had been to this restaurant at its previous location and loved it. The food and service were great so we went back once they moved to the new location. This experience was much different. The service was terrible! It took forever for our food to come out and when it did it was mediocre. My husband’s sandwich had barely any of the horseradish spread on it so he asked for some extra which the server brought to us. However, when they brought us the bill she had charged him 50 cents for the extra sauce. My husband asked if she was seriously charging us for the extra sauce especially because our food came out so late and added if that’s the case we will not be coming back. She took the check and our card to run it and when she brought it back she had still charged us for the extra sauce!!! We couldn’t believe it! I hope the extra 50 cents was worth losing a repeat customer because we will not be going back. I have never written a review on a restaurant but was so shocked that the server did not do anything about our complaint that I feel compelled to write this one. Definitely skip this experience. Not worth your time or money.

They seem to be back on track! I visited after they moved out on Rt 7 and they were very slow, once we got our food it was good. My recent visit was much better, the food came out promptly and you could tell it was all made from good meats and vegetables.

One of the worst restaurants I’ve been too. Ordered skirt steak medium well and and I got strips of ultra dry leather and it was incredibly bland. I took 2 bites and sent it back. They refused to comp my meal and the manager was very rude. Tried to convince me that it was cooked medium well and that medium well steak is not supposed to have any moisture. It was very overcooked. Do not recommend this place at all. A $20 meal that I took 2 bites out of. Ridiculous.
