A neat place with an old steak house feel. The steak, salad bad, and service were all excellent. We went on a Saturday and did wait over an hour for a table. There is a clear “rush” that happens at open. So either arrive right before they open to get in line or come 1-2 hours after opening.

Best steakhouse in the world. I love coming here so so so much. Long wait for dinner usually an hour to 90 minutes but great food makes it worth. Filet tipa are amazing, it’s so soft and chewy. I didn’t get to try prime rib yet but I’ll definitely get it next time. Servers are so friendly and attentive. Salad bars are always so full of salad and i love it!

Great little salad bar and incredible steaks, little pricey but worth it. Beer wine and drinks as well. Very friendly staff, may be a little wait but go down to the main street social and have a beer while you wait and they will call you

Disappointing. The steak was pretty good: tender and flavorful. The rest is what brings this review down. For a place that that serves $20/30+ steaks, the salad bar is an absolute joke. I’ve never seen such a paltry salad bar, other than maybe a truck stop in Amarillo, TX. Also, ordered a baked potato with sour cream and butter. They don’t even have real butter! They have that nasty Country Crock spread in the little plastic tubs that is margarine – which is poison. Finally, the only beer options are Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra, etc. about 5 different beers of that ilk. If you like a good beer, you’re out of luck here. The atmosphere is nice, quiet, relaxed atmosphere, but come one! When you’re serving nice, expensive steaks, you can’t do better than this with the salad bar, beer selection, butter?

At one time this place was a well hidden secret with five star quality of meals. We have been with guests twice in the months since the husband owner passed. Someone flipped the switch for quality of meats, cooking of meats, and so on since his passing to barely edible on our best of night. The other visit all four of us had full doggie bags and that is exactly who ate the steaks…….the dogs. Don’t waste your time and money at the WoodShed Steakhouse.

Went there Thursday night to give them a second chance. Was there at the beginning of the year and thought the food would be better without going with a group of 25 people. I got their “ribeye” I asked for it to be prepared medium well. The portion size of the steak was fine but overall taste and seasoning was lacking. The outside was burnt and overcooked.

The Woodshed is a very nostalgic, comfortable restaurant in Downtown Stanley with great food. Be sure to order the tomatoe sandwich, it’s a must try. The prime rib is sooo great. They don’t take reservations on the weekend but even you have to wait its worth it!

Salad bar was awesome… streak tips were good but mushroom gravy was not good. Waitress had friends or family at 2 separate tables so we were ignored a lot. Husband had prime rib and baked potato which was good. Hit or miss on the food, dessert was not a hit and we got both the chocolate cake (dry) and the orange cake.

If you are looking for the best steak around look no further. The Woodshed Steakhouse is amazing. They have been in business for over 3 decades. They have some of the best staff. Thier salad bar is awesome though they have not been able to source thier famous pickled watermelon rinds recently. Pro tip when you go try thier tomato and onion sandwich as an appetizer. Every portion is highly generous regardless of what you order. I love the dated decor and rustic exterior of this place giving a true steakhouse feel. All of thier desserts are home made and exceptional. My personal favorite is the prime rib steak that is cut to satisfy the hunger of a cowboy.
