What a pleasant surprise to find a really good BBQ joint way up North. They actually had real “Sweet Tea.” Yay! We had the bison and brisket sandwich. It was very, very good. I ordered the collard greens, and I really enjoyed them. They didn’t even need pepper & vinegar sauce. But… the big winner, believe it or not, was the GRITS! Absolutely the best grits I’ve ever had. It was very creamy with garlic and a little bit of a kick. Saved the leftovers, and they were even better in the fry pan the next morning. Will have to try the brisket if we ever make it back up that way!

I’ve been to a couple smokehouse places and this was by far the best I’ve had. The meats were succulent, had a good amount of smoke without being overpowering, and decent portion sizes for the price.

I ordered the two meat platter with pulled pork and spare ribs. The ribs were tender and juicy and flavorful. The meal came with two sides I ordered the grits and mac & cheese…the dinner came with cornbread as well. This meal was piled high and the portions are huge.

We moved to New England from the Carolina’s and missed good BBQ. Our co workers constantly rave about BT’s so we thought we’d give it a shot. The best thing here are the fixings. The collards were better than any I have had in the south and the max and cheese was on point. However, the brisket was bone dry. Kind of a disappointment because this place smells great. Also, the ribs were no where close to releasing from the bone. The only decent protein was the chicken. Great flavor, and wasn’t dry. Cornbread was also dry…..

VERY casual. Excellent experience. If you like smoked food and BBQ you can’t go wrong here. Brisket, pulled chicken, pork ribs and the buffalo fried chicken sandwich. Honestly nothing negative to say. It was great .

I’m a stickler about my BBQ (having lived in NC for 4 years). Although not like good old NC, this place is pretty good. Shocker of the night – the fries are the best I’ve ever had. It’s almost like BBQ chip flavored fries. I highly recommend those, the cornbread, and the Mac n cheese.

Wonderful BBQ place in Western MA. I live in BBQ country , and still find BT’s to be some of the best BBQ anywhere. Don’t miss the Brisket Ruben, Fried Chicken or the Sexy Grits

Decided to check this place out because of the amount of good reviews, and let me say it didn’t disappoint!! Decided to get a pulled pork sandwich, which was over stuffed w pork! And coleslaw. They had up to 6 different sauces to choose from, at the table or counter. I could barely finish it was so much, which is a very good thing. Bookmarked this place for next time, I highly recommend if you like BBQ, come check this place out, it’s worth the drive (1hr for me)!

Made the drive while heading back from NYC to NH and looked forward for this stop.. New England must have different expectations for bbq. I came here seeing the reviews online but it was regrettably not enjoyable. Maybe they were having an off day but food was below average for me. Sauces were way too watery and nothing unique. Ribs looked fantastic but no flavor and went long on cook. Got some brisket from the point and flat. Point looked fantastic with some char but again, no flavor. Not even the bark! Flat was cut super thin which restaurants usually do to cover up an over done brisket… and that’s what I got. Dry and thin. Beans were slightly under so were still a little crunchy, mac and cheese just tasted like roux with no cheese added… I tell ya, I thought I was going crazy how bad this missed the mark on so many items. The fried cornbread with sausage inside was the best thing on the plate. Also, the pulled pork was fine.

I’ve been here a few times, usually very busy. Today I managed to stumble upon a “slow” period. The brisket was tasty, a bit dry and not what I would call “as close to Texas BBQ you can get.” I’ve had a lot of actual Texas BBQ, IN Texas, and as far as the brisket goes, it’s good but it isn’t Texas. The hush puppies are great. Portion size is good for the price. Staff was helpful but they didn’t seem too happy about being there.
