On two occasions, we received a container full of oil and chilly peppers. There was no taste in the food. I gave them a chance the first time, but not this time. The food was tasteless with loads of oil floating on top. Both dishes were inedible, and unfortunately, their dishes do not come cheap, we paid a hefty amount. We ordered Traditional Szechuan fish filet and Hot and Pepper Shrimp. Who wants mouthfuls of dried red chilly peppers and loads of green chilly pepper in each forkful? Certainly, not I. It was truly disgusting and a sheer waste of our money.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch after friends recommended it and we were Not disappointed! The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere inside is beautiful with stunning river views. There is also outdoor seating overlooking the Hudson! As great as that all seems, the staff were the real jewels of the day. They were professional and pleasant! We will be back again and again!

River House is excellent. The food is great. The service is amazing. The quality of the food is very solid. The food comes out fast and is always hot and good. The environment is peaceful and the owner / manager KaPing is a super cool guy. There is a city view and parking. I highly recommend this restaurant!

A beautifully designed restaurant with speedy and kind attendents. My food was hot, fresh, and delicious and it’s right across the street from Sojo spa so it was nice to eat here while I waited for my reservation. This is also the only place I found in the area that has beer which is what initially drew me inside. Next to me was seated a party of more than ten and I loved watching the servers masterfully tend to the group without making me feel forgotten even though I was in a corner. The Sapporo beer was ice cold and served to me in a pretty glass, the cake served to the birthday group was beautiful and I haven’t wanted to try a slice of cake so bad in a while although I’m not sure if they brought it with them or if it the restaurant has a cake. Will definitely be back!

River House doesn’t disappoint. We’ve been here several times and the food is delicious, consistent, and reasonable priced. This time we ordered yang chow fried rice, chicken curry, mango chicken, beef with Chinese broccoli, and sweet and sour pork. All very good plus a view of the city and beside the Hudson River.

If you’re looking for a good Chinese spot and don’t feel like ordering take out, this is the spot. I’ve been here a couple times so far and it was great each time. They always give free wonton noodles with duck sauce and hot mustard, our favorite. For apps we always start off with the Egg Rolls, Vegetable Dumplings, Hot & Sour Soup, Boneless BBQ Ribs (well done) and Steamed Pork Soup Dumplings. Each time we go we try a different appetizer and everything we get always has been very good.

I ordered a beef and broccoli for $20, and there is literally 5 pieces of broccoli and 5 pieces of beef in a small lunch size box round container. How can this place charge $20 for such a small portion during dinner time?
