Disappointed!!!!Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I was craving Chinese food and I have been a long time resident of Tacoma. Normally if I want fried rice or Chinese food I will go to Goofy Goose and Tacomas No. 1 Fried Rice. Both places are better than this. I ordered the shrimp & bbq fried rice, Sesame beef, orange chicken and salt and pepper wings. Each entree was supposed to come with white rice. I only received 1 side of rice. The food was too salty and had an off taste to it I can’t describe. The orange chicken pieces were huge. I’m used to more bite size pieces, which tend to be crispier at other location when the pieces are smaller. I posted a pic for comparison. An orange chicken piece was the size of a chicken wing. I was so underwhelmed I decided to write this review to warn other people to not waste their money. I know for some spending $75 may not be considered a lot but for myself and others who want to treat themselves and their family it can be pricey. I wasted my money and I have all this food that won’t be eaten. I am so confused by the good reviews. It is not hard to make good food and North China Garden has been around long enough to produce good food.

Our craving was satisfied here. Parking can be tough but once you get in for the food it won’t matter. Sizzling chicken medium heat was so tasty. The bean sauce really compliments each veggie. The egg drop soup was pipping hot. The egg and corn really add a nice flavor to each other. Shrimp fried rice was also a win. Canned soda for the drinks. Will come back

Hands down the best Orange Chicken I’ve ever had. Everything we ordered came out piping hot and the sharing plates came out of a warmer which was a very nice touch. Our server was attentive and kind. All of the items seemed freshly made and even the appetizers seemed ‘home made’.. none of that Sysco junk here!

Disappointed! I ordered the spiciest option of General Tso chicken dinner combo expecting it to come with rice and instead got a large probably reused and old portion of mild flavored chicken. The order looks like soup. Just awful and expensive for no reason. I do not recommend anyone to come eat here. They also only do takeout. Their items are not fresh!

Ordered 4 entrées and each were supposed to come with steamed rice, but we only received 1 container of rice. So 3 of our entrées were missing rice. We got “vegan” egg rolls and they tasted fishy. 2 of the dishes were supposed to not have any animal ingredients and we specified no chicken, meat, oyster or fish sauce, thinking that would cover any non vegan ingredients. Apparently they don’t care or don’t understand, because the dishes were very fishy smelling.

I am very disappointed with this restaurant. The owner of the restaurant does not have a good attitude to serve customers, especially people from different cultures. I called to ask about the prices of the menu because I have an employee who has a birthday and I need the prices of the food and I asked if she spoke Spanish and She was offended and told me no and I asked her if she had someone who spoke Spanish and she said no, don’t worry, she told me she didn’t speak Spanish and she doesn’t have an abadien who speaks Spanish, she was very rude and rasist too and very difficult to talk to With her, I speak English but I wanted to speak to someone in my first language to better understand the cost and the options they have in that place, the service is terrible and not to mention the owner’s service and the attitude was very rude, rude and terrible, he has no charisma or empathy and the place is not very inhabited I went at 12:40 pm lunch time and I was absolutely alone because there are not many customers for all the more reason I strongly disagree The rude way that an owner treats her clients with such a bad attitude and racism and don’t say this speaks of her as an employer. I don’t want to think about how she treats her employees
