I’m a very picky person and my family hates going out to restaurants with me because of it. Last night was my first time at the Port Charlotte location. We made reservations online and when we got there we only had to wait maybe 15 minutes to get seated. Our party of 7 was seated at a booth which made it a little tight so we had a chair put at the end of the table so we don’t elbow each other while eating. Also squeezing my pleasantly plump body in the booth was a tad uncomfortable. I mean, who wants to see your roll bulging onto to the table? OK I’m being a tad dramatic BUT come on plus size ladies, it’s not that comfortable. Anyway, I ordered a burger well done and it came out exactly how I ordered it. Baked potato was a little on the salty side and overcooked but it was edible. Everyone loved their food and had no complaints. Drinks were refilled in a timely matter. Now let’s talk about our server. Charity was one of the best servers I have had in a long time. Very friendly and very professional. Hopefully the next time I go there we get her again. For anyone saying anything negative, give them time to adjust and get it perfected. They are still new and just remember. Earth wasn’t built in a day!

I’m so surprised I got a seat at their table. Since they opened there have been long wait times and lines to get it. I had their homemade potpie, Mango ice tea and a side of red beans and rice, with a complementary honey butter croissant that melts in your mouth. Their servers are so helpful and food is flavorful. This is southern comfort food at its best and the prices are amazing. It looks like pre covid prices. I also like that they have a variety of meals to suit your diet and delicious cocktails. I recommend going for lunch because by dinner time, they are packed!

After hearing all the good things since the opening of this location, we gave it a try and was not impressed. Server was not very attentive and the food was average. My wife had the country fried steak and it was mostly breading and very little meat. Everything fried had a burnt taste to it, either overcooked or old oil. For the price of the meal, I was not impressed with the quality.

I had came to cheddars so hyped, good reviews, super busy, but we did have to only wait 10 minutes, but this family who went in 4 minutes after us got seated first, then we waited not lying 40 minutes for 2 entrees! The croissants were really bland, I mean the twist pop stuff from Walmart tasted better, also the sauce was the only thing okay, but only gave 1 per person so 40 minutes for just that.. then the pasta for my entree had the legs still in my pasta! So I’m eating noodles and I need to use my hands to fully peel shrimp and it’s tale! Heck I may have even eaten their poop! Then the lemonade has such small bits to it, that I keep having to blow through my straw, then when it’s small enough, it hits the back of throat and you’re now chocking/coughing. The main worst part was that the water in both men’s and women’s bathroom did not work at all! Just imagine. After that, the server never took our empty tray of the croissants or small plates given. But I mean 15$ for a pasta dish with tails, legs, not much sauce, and such a small portion, I mean come on!!!!! Then the ribs have no specification or usage of words that it is soooo spicy! My 2 guests couldn’t even eat a second bite, so I had to take it home for myself and I’ll try it tomorrow. Now the bread for the pasta was like stuff you get from the freezer section at Walmart. I can’t believe I had this, I mean especially if I were to come for a birthday, I’d be so depressed and just etc. if you look at the photo, I mean you see the legs! I told someone else, and they said to stop talking about it there. After that, when eating pasta it is not finger food!

We simply love this place! Have visited it quite a few times already since it opened its doors of deliciousness to the residents of Port Charlotte couple of months back. The ambience very welcoming and the best part before the meal is the freshly baked mouth watering Croissants drizzled with butter!. I mostly enjoy having the Blackened Shrimp n Salmon with rice and baked potatoes or Cole slaw on the side. The menu offers a decent list of entrées and main course so you can decide with ease because I bet everything tastes great here. The Brownie dessert here is HUGE, good for four if you ask me. Overall a must must place to eat, we drive approx 30mins to eat here and we love it!!

I’ve been to Cheddar’s in Macon, GA and was excited to see one open in Port Charlotte, FL. I specifically went for the Monte Christo sandwich. Every once in a while I really crave one and they are hard to find, especially done right. It was perfect, so delicious with raspberry dip and powdered sugar. I also had the Pineapple Painkiller drink my server, Zee, recommended. Perfect choice. The prices were very reasonable as well. I’ll definitely be back. They recently opened and at 4:15 on a Saturday already had a 20 minute wait, so next time I’ll get on the wait list ahead of time.
