The food lacked so much flavor. The orange chicken was the only thing that was good. The Noodles are awful the rice was not much better. The beef and broccoli was so bland that the duck sauce mixed with sweet and sour did not help it. I had lots of broccoli with only 3/4 pieces of beef. I haven’t found any good Chinese food since I moved here from California

Tastes pretty great! Location is great. Love the ready-made food once you get there. It’s a great place to get a quick meal as food is already made. ** To anyone else, I’d also recommend “Osaka Grill”(a Japanese restaurant that serves similar food to Chinese Gourmet Express) ,” which is on College Street by the hospital. You won’t be disappointed. 🙂

Prices have went way up, to get 1 adult meal with just rice and 1 kind of chicken, and a kids meal with just rice and chicken, and drinks cost $25, and they don’t give toys with the kids meal tho it said it was supposed to come with one. Their food is pretty good, just expensive. The workers are extremely rude and told my husband he didn’t have to buy anything there again when he questioned them charging $1 for a refill on drink. He said he wouldn’t.

This place is one of the only places around that still serves BOURBON CHICKEN I cannot express how rare this type of bourbon chicken is. It used to be made at central mall in port Arthur about 20 years ago but it’s been very hard to find since then. Only problem with this place is sometimes during the weekdays or when they are not busy they sometimes let it set out too long and it’s doesn’t taste good at that point imo. But that was a few years ago so hopefully they Keep it fresh now! I would give five stars for always fresh bourbon chicken!! Updated to five stars since the last three times I’ve been there the chicken was very good but remember to get there in time because they do sell out.
