This is the second time I paid for ridiculously expensive food and coffee in a small town. I really want to support local businesses but this is just unbelievable. There’s no price on the menu or anywhere in the shop. I should’ve known better… As someone who lives in New York City, I can tell you that they are charging way too much for what they serve (especially the coffee)!!! The food actually looked cute and tasted fine, but we waited for a long time for it to come. I don’t know if they charge locals a lower price or what because I would definitely NOT come again if I lived nearby. The owner was friendly and recommended us spots to visit nearby though.

I am happy to have heard of this place and made time to stop by. The owners (wife and husband) are down to Earth. They are extremely welcoming!!! Staff is great too (Kenna?). Food, coffee and delights are also delicious. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

The corned beef hash was definitely pretty decent, for it is homemade and came in a decent portion! The zucchini avocado and lemon bread was also quite delicious as well, so food wise it’s really not bad!

The BEST homemade hash we have ever eaten! Very laid back atmosphere. If you are in a hurry, call in your order as service was a wee bit slow, but the servers were fantastic. I’m still giving service 5☆ because it gave us time to look at a lot of nostalgia. Very hippy 60’s throwback. Also, try the different flavors of their lemonade. Hibiscus was yummy. There are a few tables and a small bar-like seating. Also, tables outside. Get the HASH!!! Definitely will be back.

Really love this place from the atmosphere to the phenomenal food. Excellent breakfast sandwiches and baked goods. The falafel is outstanding and so are the hand crafted drinks. The staff is beyond accommodating and friendly. They locally source and use fresh and natural ingredients. Lucky to have them here and grateful they are open every day!

Very rustic little cafe with a great sense of community. The food was excellent. Wait time was a little high but we were on island time so it was fine. Food is reasonably priced: $7.50 for my breakfast sandwich and $10 for home fries, eggs and toast. Around $5-6 for specialty drinks. I’d recommend this place if you are staying in the area!

The food, ambience, and chef at this restaurant are all wonderful and the restaurant is worth visiting! However, I had one of the most disquieting interactions I’ve ever had with a waiter at this restaurant. Every time the waiter came up to me, he was a rude and confrontational bully about the fact that I am vegan and inquired what vegan items were available on the menu. It was a humiliating and degrading experience (and occurred at 8:30 in the morning), and to the extent he is still working at this establishment (he wears a safari hat, so look out for him), I cannot advocate dining here. It was an awful, abrasive dining experience and every time he spoke to me it was an interrogation about my veganism meant to question and insult my intelligence.

I spent 4hrs working at HG one hot muggy afternoon. Great place. AC in the window chugging away, kept me (I was only person there) cool. Super small, comfy, quirky, reliable wifi and the coffee was excellent. Obvious the folks here take great care about it. Big mug too, nice and hot; not the cheap paper cup with plastic lid. Upstairs is antique/museum thing. Coffee is a tad expensive at $3.75 but inline with everything else in this town (and this very pretty region of the country…like living in a national park). WC (single) in the back. Parking easy, just off Main St, 200m from the theatre and bridge, beside post office and library (across the street from 200+ yr-old cemetery, where all the local original family names are there…worth a short walk around itself).
