Tea Selections
BLACK TEA | YUNNAN JIG TEA |
Yunnan black tea is identified by its abundance of soft golden tips, and savory cocoa and black pepper flavors. It is a very forgiving tea and will not taste bitter when over-steeped. Our Yunnan Jig has a sweet, almost creamy aroma, rich and savory flavor, with a slight cocoa powder finish. Yunnan tea is arguably the most underrated of Chinese varieties. If you have yet to try it, we would recommend it highly. Our ‘Yunnan Jig’ would make a great introduction.*This tea contains a high level of caffeine | Steep for 3-5 minutes.
$6.00
BLACK TEA | GOLDEN SPRING
A delicate but surprising China black tea from Fujian province, harvested early in the spring. The leaves are pan-fried and hand-rolled, capturing a fresh, sweet flavor unique to the season. It has a smooth, decadent and very savory texture, with notes of currant and roasted apples to lighten it up, which brings a pure sensory delight to your palate.*This tea contains a high level of caffeine | Steep for 3-5 minutes.
$10.00
WHITE TEA | WHITE PEACH TEA
Premium white tea from the Fujian region of China flavored with sweet peaches. Our White Peach Tea is a wonderfully smooth and subtle treat, delectable both hot and cold. If you are beginning your exploration of white tea, our peach tea will serve as a wonderful introduction.*This tea contains a low level of caffeine | Steep for 3-5 minutes.
$6.00
WHITE TEA | JASMINE YIN HAO
Made up of the youngest, fuzzy, plump buds, our Bai Hao Yin Zhen, otherwise known as Silver Needle, hails from the Fuding area of China. Its dry aroma is quite floral, and the leaves are a lovely silvery green. Once brewed, the light honey-colored liquor offers flavor notes of honeydew, fresh sweet cucumber and a slight hint of minerality.*This tea contains a low level of caffeine | Steep for 2-3 minutes.
$8.00
GREEN TEA | JASMINE CHUN HAO
Our Jasmine Chun Hao from the Fujian province of China is infused with the delicate scent of night-blooming jasmine flowers. Our Jasmine is a Chun Hao grade tea that is suitable for daily treat. It produces a sweet cup with a light and lingering scent of fresh jasmine flowers.*This tea contains a moderate level of caffeine | Steep for 2-3 minutes.
$6.00
OOLONG TEA | TRADITIONAL TIE GUAN YIN
This Oolong strikes us as a bridge between roasted and green Oolongs as it retains some floral notes, while the light roasting enhances the honey nuance. Tightly rolled Anxi grown leaf with a light roasting offers a cup that is soft with sweet honey-floral notes and a delicate flinty minerality.*This tea contains a moderate level of caffeine | Steep for 2-3 minutes.
$12.00
HERBAL TEA | BLOOD ORANGE TEA
The blood orange is a culinary favorite, with its deep vibrant color and sweet, tangy flavor. It is a perfect ingredient for a refreshing herbal blend. This naturally sweet, caffeine-free tea pairs blood orange peels with hibiscus flowers and rose hips. It is rich, hearty and tangy, with a good balance of orange peel dryness and fruit juiciness.*This tea contains no caffeine | Steep for 5-10 minutes.
$6.00
HERBAL TEA | CHAMOMILE TEA
The finest chamomile flowers in the world come from the Nile River Valley of Egypt. Considered a remedy for all ills by the ancient Egyptians, this golden herb remains a modern favorite to promote calm and relieve anxiety. When steeped, these fragrant blossoms smell of freshly cut apples and produce a rich, golden cup with superior flavor. This caffeine-free herbal infusion is delicious served with honey.*This tea contains no caffeine | Steep for 5-10 minutes.

Looking for yummy dumplings in Madison? FEAST is the spot to check out! We started with scallion pancakes, which were flaky, fluffy, and flavorful. The crab rangoon were delicious, with the perfect portion of stuffing. But my favorites were the fried fish balls, which were divine little bites – I highly recommend these!!

Visited due to a friend’s recommendation. Unfortunately, they didn’t have some of the dumplings available that day. The service was very average but they sure have a great atmosphere. Cocktails were decent and the food was nicely presented. We surely enjoyed the edamame as it had a great taste of garlic and spiciness. The matcha tiramisu was a light desert and was the perfect way to end the meal. Would like to visit again when in town to try some of the dumplings that weren’t available the night we visited.

Exceptionally great food! A small walk from hotel indigo, this place is a must try. Their shrimp, chive and egg dumplings was amazingly delicious. The beef and black truffle dumpling had a bit too much truffle taste for my liking so it was just ok. It overpowered the beef flavor so all you tasted was truffles.

Really enjoyed the tastes, decor and atmosphere here. Tried a little bit of everything- Berkshire pork/shrimp/chive dumplings, ahi tuna and pork belly buns, ocean feast poke, Dan Dan noodles, Tang Dynasty lychee martini, and for dessert some sesame balls and buns filled with coconut. All around great flavors. Would love to visit again. Oh, and check out the unique sinks in the restrooms- super cool!

Wonderful place. Was amazed by how good the dumplings were for how relatively inexpensive they are (by 2023 Madison near east side standards of course). The chic is very good for a new condo building ground floor restaurant, with nice dim red hued lighting that accents the red paint, with appropriate art hanging about. It took my wife and I about 1.5 orders (12 dumplings ) to get full, which equals about $18 per person at $12 per order as of this writing. Definitely recommend pan fried, the presentation of the dumplings in their batter “webbing” is very nice. I had pork and beef, my wife had steamed shrimp – we both agreed that the pan-fried was tastier, although steamed is probably more traditional.

This is a great late-night dinner and tea spot with a cute little patio. They have a vegan option in each category: buns, shumai, and dumplings, as well as a couple other appetizers. I really liked the food! I also appreciate that there wasn’t a surcharge to the vegan dishes, it was a very reasonable meal. I’ve never had dumplings served like they do here. They come under a thin fried dough layer. It adds a nice crunch, but did feel a bit greasy.

Feast is a great place for a fancier, elevated date night or meet-up. Their pork belly buns and three ingredient dumplings are so good. Also, their Sesame balls and selection of hot teas are really solid. Ranges on the more pricy end for dumpling places, but we’ll worth it, as the quality and presentation is kicked up a notch from your average dim sum joint. The lighting and atmosphere is warm and dim, which is very calming and inviting. Outdoor seating was available in the warmer months last time I was there as well.

Lovely dining experience on their patio. We enjoyed the white peach tea and the garlic edamame and cucumber salads to start. Then dumpling time! We tried some shrimp shumai (my favorite of our dishes!), a traditional three ingredient dumpling, pan-fried pork and mushroom dumplings, and their signature buns with tuna (so good). This is a good spot if you’re looking for a date night or to spend a little more, and a great place to go with a group because sharing the dumplings is the best!

Once we finally realized the name of the restaurant was different and went in, it was a great experience. Restaurant looks great inside, food was amazing. They even have some good beers on tap.
