Hong’s Chinese Dumplings Menu – Burlington, VT

We started hand making Northern style Chinese dumplings from scratch since year 2000 at a food cart on Church St in Burlington, VT. @hongsdumplings was out of this world! The scallion pancake made me weep. I should have gotten 32 more to go! The other delicious pic are the Chicken & Cheese dumplings and a Crab & Cream Cheese dumpling. Sweet Mary Moses…. Nom Nom. We even got to meet and have a little chat with Ms. Hong! Whoot!

The dumplings are huge, which isn’t really my preference but that’s not their fault! Aside from that the service and taste was awesome.

Still excellent all these years later: I first met Mrs Hong in 2004 at the cart on Church Street. The only things missing are homemade mustard and hot pepper sauces. After reminiscing for a while, I dug in to my dumplings with the same pleasure I recall from nearly 20 years earlier. They are the best!

If you’re going to make it to only one restaurant in Burlington, it needs to be this one. The dumplings are incredible, the staff are lovely, and everything is just perfect! I love the veggie dumplings the most.

Came by ten minutes after closing, she was locking up. We asked if there was any way we could buy some dumplings. She graciously let us in, we forgot to lock the door and another guy walked in behind us, she served him too. We ordered 16 dumplings and watched her hand make them to order. We talked to her while she made our food. She is very charming and cute. There is limited stool seating but that was fine for us. She has multiple sauces for the dumplings. The dumplings are large and chewy. We all preferred the pork but the creamcheese crab was also well liked. The food was excellent but the 5 stars are for her. She is one of those special people, works hard, shares her love. The dumplings and restaurant aren’t about the asthetics, dig a little deeper and you will find what you are looking for.

Homemade dumplings and bao. Somewhat bland. Sauces are extra $1.00 per small container. Dumplings were greasy. Sesame noodles with peanut sauce lacked spice.

Hongs is a fantastic dumpling resturant that has been seen on television. The resturant serves a very tasty assortment of dumplings with chili or cranberry sauces.

Sooooo good. I just felt my dumplings were a tad under cooked. But delicious. I got 4 dumplings and a bao… the fillings were delicious. And the portions are huge.

Food was amazing. Tried one of each dumpling and a scallion pancake. Hong herself was there and offered a warm welcome to all patrons.

Wow! We saw a piece in the paper about Hong’s and decided to try it. Just superb food. Very small space though so you may want to do take out. We had dumplings, scallion pancake, and fried rice. All were terrific! Be sure to try Hong’s homemade ginger garlic soy sauce.
