Its Just Me
I’m giving this new business a few tries before setting a firm review. We came in on the 4th day of business. They are still ironing out the wrinkles and I think this place has the potential for a super cool hangout. The menu has a terrific seafood selection, which is honorable in a landlocked Midwest restaurant. It’s a mix of Latin and Asian inspired dishes. We tried a seafood sushi roll. Packed with flavor but a hefty price at $19.99/plate. However I will admit that the taste did not disappoint We didn’t come super hungry so the two of us split an entree. $34 for a Mezcal margarita and the food. Our server was very sweet. The music was a bit loud. The dining area was crowded with cafeteria style tables and chairs. It was cozier when it was set up like the previous restaurant. I miss the old booths and oversized tables. It’s okay though- I welcome the new business and I hope they are successful. We will definitely be back!

I’m a huge foodie, and I’ve always struggled to find any decent Mexican food in the area. This place has great food. Please be patient with them. They just opened up, so they are working on getting more staff. The customer service was amazing. The food is delicious. Extremely extensive menu. I’m 100% coming back. Ask for Jorge. Awesome server!

This review isn’t fake and some of the 1 star reviews should be reviewed by Google as they come off as racist. I am a waitress myself and can understand the restaurant industry has been struggling since the pandemic. El Vallarta did fine. I came back Saturday to try the sushi rolls and can tell that these recipes were crafted by someone who studies culinary arts.

The worst service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. We got sat down right away, and they brought chips and ceviche around 10 minutes in. We waited and waited for a server and no one came. After 30 minutes we finally asked someone if they knew who our server was and we STILL didn’t get a server. We asked a different person and she said she was going to tell the manager to find out who’s table we were at. We finally got a server after an hour and the food and drinks did come out fast after that. The food was overly expensive for the portion sizes but it tasted good. We then got the bill and I saw we were charged a 15% gratuity with our check. The menu had stated they charge that for parties over 5…. There was only 4 of us. I asked the server why we were charged that if there was only 4 of us and she said that the manager automatically adds it. She ended up telling her manager to fix it and she dropped off the new check with an attitude. Also, the tables are way too close too each other, barely any space to get though. Please save your time and money.

It’s only been open for about a month. Very good food and cocktails. They serve more seafood than what might be considered traditional Mexican. Give it a try. I’ll be back.

Great food! Went on a Friday afternoon around 4:30 pm. About 7 full tables at the time and we were seated right away and our service was great! Our food was AMAZING and the portion size was great for the price! I ordered the Arroz con Mariscos and my husband got the Pasta Brava. I will agree; some of the menu items were a bit overpriced but the dishes we ordered were fairly priced for the type of food and the portion size. We both were full and still had leftovers. Seafood is always pricier and you can always expect to pay a little more for this style of food. I think some of the reviews are unfair for a new restaurant. I will say, I did NOT like the free chips, salsa and ceviche. The chips were bland and a little stale and the free ceviche was definitely not fresh. My husband ordered a coke which was brought out in a can and cost $4.00!! The name/sign can also be a little confusing. It says that it’s a sports bar and grill?? This is NOT a sports bar and grill and we witnessed a table leave for that very reason. They thought it was a “bar and grill” from the sign and wanted burger and fries type of food.

This is a new place, and I was a little worried there would be some hiccups, but wow was I wrong. Everything was amazing, including the staff! They were very sweet to my son, who is autistic, and very accommodating to any requests. Everything was fresh, and really prepared with care. The pulpo ceviche was excellent, and so was my huachinango (red snapper). I got mine with house sauce which was spicy, but not like habanero hot. They also have some options for people that don’t like seafood, one person in my party took that route, and it was also delicious. I highly recommend this spot for a nice dinner, as seafood can be a little pricey, but the atmosphere is more relaxed so no need to dress up. Make sure to ask about the live music, and karaoke as they plan on making that a regular occurrence.
