Excellent server!- prompt to refill glasses and bring bisquits ahead of meal. Pot pie is huge. Their classic combination plate with meatloaf and southern fried chicken with green beans , mashed potatoes and gravy was good- meatloaf a little dry and a guess as to what pieces of chicken were on our plates but tasted good.

Fun, family friendly place with friendly staff. Stuffed pancakes were delicious. Chicken fried steak was good but not the best I’ve had. I’d pass on the sausage next time. The kids liked the chicken strips but didnt care for their seasoned fries. Overall we enjoyed it and would go back.

We had dinner at this Cracker Barrel on a week night in June, 2023. They were very busy and folks were waiting outside in the rocking chairs. We fortunately had a shorter wait being just two people. The down side is we had a very small table. And it had a strong sun glare facing one of us. That would be me. So for a while I couldn’t see anything. But finally one of the servers put down the shade. Suddenly I could see the wires face.

It’s been a while since we had been there. The wait for a table was longer than it should have been. Quite a few other folks who came in after us got seated first. We had been told, “we’re just wiping some tables down. It will be a couple of minutes.” They told us this twice….with about 20 minutes in between. The food was good, but on my meal of chicken tenders, they had said mine was short, and they’d bring the rest in a little bit. Never got them. I think our server was new, so that’s why I’m cutting her some slack, as they were very busy. The kids, 5 of them, aged 6 and under, all thought it was good, and especially liked the gift shop out front. It’s not the Ritz, and isn’t meant to be. You’ll get a good meal at a decent price.

Usually, we have good service and food at this cracker barrel, but today was not a great experience. 45 minutes after being seated, I had to go ask for our order to be taken. It took another 45 minutes to receive our food, and the order was incorrect. They were not that busy. We will take a pause from this restaurant for a while.
