When in Akron we always stop for a Burger and Cherry Milkshake here. Really good burger, and the price is good too. It’s kinda a take out, there’s no seating inside, they come out to your vehicle.

Friday afternoon was the first time I’ve ever been to a Skyway and I was satisfied. The waiter was professional, polite, and prompt. I paid $13 for an Aunt Ruth’s Bacon Onion Ring Burger meal with sweet potato fries and a fountain drink. This burger was bigger than a softball! And darn tasty, too. The fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I was thinking about getting a milkshake but was absolutely stuffed by the time I finished the burger I’ll be eating here again in the future.

I heard a lot of people talking about it so I went to give it a try. $15 for a burger, fries, and shake seemed really high. I was the first in an empty parking lot, and my order took about 6-10 minutes. The food was really good but I asked for no pickles and found pickles on it, and the secret sauce they put on it was completely sloshed all over the side of the burger. Server was super nice and food was good, but price, time waited, and build quality was a bit disappointing.

This place is amazing! We live right up the road and have driven by many times & finally decided to try it. The food always comes out hot & fresh, and never greasy! Our favorites is their signature Sky Hi burger, onion rings (fresh made!) & potato teasers!

Sorry Akron, but SkyWay is significantly better than Swensons. The Sky Hi beats Galley Boy any day. The Sky Hi buns are soft and flaky, crisp lettuce and perfect hamburg. Galley Boys are always soggy and pressed down. No comparison.

I have been a fan of Skyway since moving to Akron. I usually go to Fairlawn and have had excellent service. I went to the Turkeyfoot location today for the second time and will not be back. I came for lunch and also to take a meal home for a friend. I told the server I would like to pay seperate for my friends order after we ate. I was told that each car could only place one order and that was it as I was not allowed to place a second order. Never heard of a restaurant rejecting a sale of food. I would of left, but my son was already looking forward to his meal. $27 for two meals and I could not order more…WOW! I was told that is Skyways policy, but I have a hard time believing the owner is telling the employees to not let the customers purchase more.

Skyway Drive-In is one of the few drive-ins left in the Midwest and has been around since 1952! They offer classic American food from burger to fries and shakes and more! This location is very cute with a diner-like atmosphere that have servers come to your car when you out your lights on to get service. They have some less glamorous locations around so I recommend coming to this one. They pride themselves on juicy, made-to-order, burgers made fresh. My wife and I had burgers and fries with a few drinks and sides. Overall the food was good but was lacking in flavor with certain things. Their service was nice and prompt and we didn’t wait much to order. Food came out at a reasonable time as well. All in all I would recommend people to try this location if they haven’t had them before but I probably won’t come back except maybe to try the chicken sandwiches because the menu is similar to Swensons Drive-in and they do everything much better. Swensons has also been around before Skyway so Skyway is the competitor.

Been here twice since I moved to union town. Both times there have only been 3 cars in the parking lot. Waited 25 minutes both times. Swensons is always packed and I’ve never waited longer than 10 minutes. Common guys
