Surprisingly good. It seems that the more “down home” the restaurant seems to be, the better the food is, and the Front Porch Cafe is no exception. They have a simple, yet diverse menu of New Orleans style dishes, and variations. We both had shrimp and pasta dishes (mine with the fried eggplant) and both were fantastic; indeed, it was more like the food in New Orleans, but served up in rural Mississippi. The appetizer (which I must apologize for forgetting the name thereof, but it was incredibly good) was savory and unique, and the dessert, while it mimicked the appetizer in a wonton wrap, tasted just as a benget should. This place is a “must stop and try” restaurant, but be warned that it may be difficult to visit on the weekends…It’s just that good. We visited on a weekday afternoon, and saw it get busy as we departed. The atmosphere is a little rustic, but it didn’t take away from the service, or the food. We will be visiting again!

This place is fantastic! From start to finish a party of 4 were 100% satisfied with everything – great tea too! Wonderful service, atmosphere & food. Well worth the drive out to the backside of Pass Christian/Diamondhead for this gem!

First time my husband and I went to front porch with an hour before closing and got turned away by the teenage female server while turning the lights off. Other customers started to show up right after we got in our car to leave. The female server came to the door to proceed to tell us they were in fact open after we told them the website said they close at 9 pm. Left a bad taste for us and decided to go elsewhere where we were treated with a smile and great food. Thanks front porch for changing our mind and helping decide that is not the place for us .

Wow! What a find. Cold beer and fantastic food. Start off with some Cajun Catfish Rolls, and a cold Coors light in a frosted mug. The pasta is made from scratch, mixed with your flavor of seafood, or you can have a Ribeye steak. The choices are endless, the quality is superb

The food was good but way over priced. My pork chop and a half a baked potato cost more than their seafood platter. There was three of us and our bill was $120. I don’t think we will be back.

We just ate here tonight (10/15) and it was really good. the shrimp alfredo was really awesome, but it could’ve used a tiny bit more salt and there were no other complaints from us! The girl they had in there was young and she was juggling a 10-top, 5 top, and an 8 top pretty much by herself along with other tables! She still got our stuff out really well even though some of the other tables weren’t acting like civilized humans, she definitely pushed through. Kudos!

Just left from there. Once again the sauce for the angel pasta is as watery as 2% milk and the fish was dry.
