I’ve been hearing good reports on this place. Especially on Saturday nights when the Blues Society books a band. One of the major pluses is no smoking inside. Also the parking area and store front was extremely well lighted. I left at midnight and walked to my car, one block, with no feeling of any danger.

The food was great. Very delicious and satisfying. I had fried chicken, dumplings, and black eyed peas with okra. All of it tasted great. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for some good soul food. The inside is a little rundown, but the staff are very friendly and inviting, and the food more than makes up for the aesthetics.
