Possibly the worst sushi I ever had. Read the bad reviews, but wanted to give it a shot. Why is it brown? Absolutely awful. Also SO expensive!

How does this place stay in business?!?! Moved close by almost 2 years ago and we eagerly tried the place soon after. We both hated everything about it and agreed to never go back. However, in a moment of weakness I grabbed take out on the way home yesterday afternoon and quickly remembered why we avoid this place. One of the cheapest hibachi meals on the menu, Hibachi Chicken, is what I ordered TO-GO at $18.95 (unfortunately not the worst value item I ordered) and the picture shows what little I got for that, especially the rice. It did include a disgusting tasting “soup” and ginger “salad” that was nothing more than a handful of shredded lettuce and a small container of ginger dressing; no carrots or onions or any other kind of vegetable other than lettuce! One of the biggest problems we had/have with this place is their shrimp/yum-yum sauce is primarily MUSTARD based and bitter, UNLIKE any shrimp/yum-yum sauce we have ever had anywhere! However, the absolute worst part about this specific experience was I placed my order at the counter and asked for “TWO Spring Rolls”; without any question or explanation the cashier rang up “TWO Spring Rolls” at a total of TWELEVE DOLLARS!!! Yes, that’s correct: $6.00 EACH!!! When she gave me my total of $33.12, for just ONE Chicken Hibachi & TWO Spring Rolls, I responded surprised and asked “how much are the Spring Rolls?” Again, with no additional explanation she simply replied “$6.00 each.” At that moment, I should have canceled my order and went elsewhere! But I did not, I paid the total plus a 15% tip and walked out again telling myself I will NEVER GO BACK! What I got for “TWO Spring Rolls” for $12 was actually 2 x orders of 4 small spring rolls not much bigger around than my index finger and they were soggy. Again, I can’t express enough how bad of an experience I/we have had there on two separate occasions 1.5 years apart! Portions are not good for price or by comparison with other similar restaurants in the area, the food is lacking in flavor, and the sauce(s) are the absolute worst I have ever tasted at any hibachi restaurant ever!

I had high hopes for this place since a lot of people had recommended it to me. Alas, it seems like their reviews were mostly relevant to this restaurant several years ago, when their big pull was an endless sushi deal. Now there is no such option, and prices are obscene. Two rolls were almost $20 (not counting tip), for which I could have all-you-can-eat sushi of better quality elsewhere. It was tasty, don’t get me wrong, and our server was nice enough, but the meal was not nearly worth the money and I wouldn’t go back.

I have been going here for years, if your are expecting 5star hibachi this isn’t the place. I would say sushi is their strong point and it’s very good! I’ve gotten the hibachi and there are other places better in the area. I get the Kilimanjaro roll and always have, it’s very good and they know what they are doing when making a sushi roll. This restaurant is never packed , they do more take out than anything as far as I’ve seen . Worth a try for sure!

Horrible experience. Ordered a florida roll and left with a random roll that I had never seen before, then came to find out it was a Tampa roll. I tried to get my money back or my roll remade, but the lady insisted over and over that this was a Florida roll and was no help at all. Very very disappointed

Went on a Friday night and the place was dead. Still ate here figured they were just slow. Ordered hibachi steak and shrimp. The meat tasted old and it was not cooked right then. Tasted like they just popped it in the microwave and reheated it. Very disappointed with the meal that was $20+ per person. Miso soup also tasted old. Won’t be back.
