The building is clean and the waitress is friendly. I had a meat lovers omelet with toast. I went during breakfast hours and there were only a few people in there. Nice little local restaurant. Definitely will be back.

I got the popcorn shrimp and one trip to the salad buffet. It was perfect. The waitress was awesome. Making sure that we were ok with everything. It has been a long time since I’ve been there and I’m definitely going back soon.

Food was bland. I had buffet and the rest ordered from menu. Everything had little to no flavor. Steak and chopped steak came out well done even though we ordered it rare. Baked potatoes weren’t done. Took an hour to get food and price was crazy high. Buffet was not restocked until someone asked it to be. I’d pass on coming back.

Had a large group meet here to celebrate a birthday. Most of us got the buffet and even though they would normally start taking the buffet down they restocked it so we would have plenty to eat while we were there.

If you are traveling I-57 in Central IL, this local place is a bit off the road, but worth the trip. Very basic decor but a good variety of American food that includes a buffet (some nights of the week after 5:00pm). It did not time out for us to try it but looked tasty. Specials ever day…I recommend the fried catfish fillets. This place sure beats the fast food options in Salem. Try it.

Overall the food is good but every now and then ,as far as my taste buds are concerned, the food is so so. If the order is messed up or you don’t like the taste they give the options to fix the order for you and or give a discount on the order bill. The waitresses are awesome and so are the owners. Very kind and welcoming people.

First time there. Had the gyro plate and Beef Manhattan and both were great. Fast service. It’s nice to have a local place to eat rather than chain restaurants.
